You still need the cattle for all those things to happen....I have no doubt if a couple of LA George Macca or BOB played Cl......EF would of won thru leadership. Putting long term defender in Stephen up front is pretty out of the box...kicked 7 from memory....whilst being 0/10 is soul destroying, losing to Cl by 10 goals would of been far worse than the 3 pts on Sat....this weeks game is EF real chance to break their duck....

We were also missing 5 or 6 of our best 22 freezin... Probably why the game was played at such a shabby standard... Swirling wind never helps either.. But certainly was pretty obvious it was two struggling sides out there to me, we'll need to be far better than that to beat Swans next week.

Claremont beat us round 1 by 13 goals at home and pretty sure it was a side much stronger than Saturday. From memory J Mac, Marsh and Peake was in that side, fair to say boht sides have headed south since that game. Suppose we can get the season back on track against the Dee's this week.

TOO....pretty sure those ex AFL boys in Morabito, Winmar and Hardisty more than replace Neates and Lee from that Cl win over EF in round one.....so not too sure your point in saying 5- 6 guys were missing from Cl best 22?......All I know is the likes of EF ex AFL boys in LA, Marsh , BOB and Macca were replaced with first gamers in Burton, Harding and Bailey.....to be able to reduce that initial 72 pt loss down to 3 pt....coming off a 120 point shellacking....uggest EFperformance on Sat wasn't that bad.....problem for EF is stringing back to back performances ......big difference between their best and worst

Stephen up forward isn't out of the box- he's played there all year!

I'm happy for the kids to come in for the rest of the season- but we'll only win 2 games max (Perth). I don't see the point of Perham playing though. Played a bit on the wing V Claremont.

perhaps Wiley's persistence to keep Stephen up front considering EF are 0/10 could be considered "out of the box" logic then...LOL .... but hey Stephen has the nous and physical body to win a lot of one on one contests, so why not up front?.........thought Stephen got moved up front, once Peake jumped ship?.....

anyway Stepho is not gonna kick 7 goals every week, but hopefully now opposition defenders will take notice of him after this Cl game, thus allowing another EF forward to go under the radar..... totally agree with you about Perham....8 weeks out injured, 1 reserves game and he is back in.....doesn't look good in terms of equal opportunity for all does it?.....

The Perth game is a brand new game......would be nice to think the effort from the Cl game will be carried forward by the EF boys....after going 2/22 since May last year one can't be hopeful eh....but that is all EF fans can do....is hope eh?....regardless what Grassy has to say about Perth's chances......

Stephen kicked 7, and hasnt totalled more than 10 for the season. He is a backman ( state as well ), and should be playing there. Yeah, him playing forward allows someone else to develop back, but we shouldnt be in this " development stage". Its a cop out
