Hooker always tried his guts out- though limited- but he would be handy around a young group in terms of setting standards. Crichton was woeful on Monday. Over the years we've also lost Hancock to Subiaco and Tropiano to Perth.

I just can't see this cycle ending- the club has no money, will finish last, has poor facilities and is expected to recruit to shoot back up the ladder. Good luck!

bar subi what club has money
shit facilities - crikey they are not that bad - sure some things need attention but gee inside the club is as good as many others I have been in
and as far as recruiting I know the club had a number of high profile recruits close to signing but just missed out
as for guys moving on due to the lack of opportunity well they only need to ask marshall stockden who played probably 100 games of reserves before becoming a regular league player, premiership player & ended up playing a state game

Been away for a few weeks, BUT - nothing has changed. Yeah better effert against the Tiges, but they are bottom dwellers as well. Dont forget that....... Wiley must be laughing all the way to the bank. Surley, he reaches a point and says enough is enough, I have done my best. The team doesn't seem to have any structures or game plan. When a team gets a run on, wheres the plan to slow the game down, keep the ball of the opposition. Our Midfield gets smashed every week. Thats where the game is won and lost. Why not be creative, make some moves.? The whole board and coaching staff are starting to wear me thin. Might have to support he womens team..........

What have the board done right?

I said when they were appointed that Dalziell and Brennan were a mistake. Not sure you should be on your learners permits at League level.

There was a nice edge to the Sharks against the Tigers. If we can bring that against the Demons we should notch up a win.

you are blaming them & I am not taking sides but firstly tell me what have they done wrong?
Dalziel & brennan coming out of the afl system surely wouldn't warrant learners permits?
so who gets the credit for the sharks performance against claremont?

You sound a bit defensive there Strono. One might think you are attached somewhere. The board makes the decisions to appoint coaches. Wiley deserved a chance. BUT an extension. PLEASE. If it was private enterprise, how long would the board last and the CEO ( Coach ) last with the current results. ZIPPO.

The Sharks performance against the Tigers. Just because we got within 3 points. The Tiges are as bad as we are. WE still lost. Who takes the credit?

The players go out and try there best. I hope for hopes sake there best is good enough this week. LOSE, and the noose tightens.

no attachments mate but too many ppl head straight for the coach & now the board when things go downhill and I don't buy into that
ok I agree an extension was premature but would Alistair Clarkson have done any better with the personnel available? it wouldn't be too easy finding a highly regarded coach these days
do you know how many injuries to key players the club has endured?
how many kids have we played?

IMO there is no noose

I think there were alarm bells when so many players walked during the off season. If anyone has watched EF play more than 3 times this year you've done very well to sit through the way they play. Its unsustainable and unattractive football. It won't hold up in big games and that needs to be the goal.

The kids came in and had a dip Vs Claremont- that is all. They should this week as well. But heaven help us Vs Peel, EP, SF and Subi!

Something needs to change. Its been 20 years next season since our last flag. Now all we are hoping for is to play in finals. We need to start adding 1-2 A grade recruits each year- not players on the fringe at other clubs. That'll also assist development of the younger players.
