Sorry AFL, to busy with work at the moment to spend too much time writing a lengthy report on our AGM. Suffice to say it was a fairly positive meeting and that most of the information is available in the public domain .....but there is always some speculation. The club reported a small cash operating profit of $10077 but after depreciation of $45014 we had loss of $34937. On the facilities side the Town of East Fremantle will fund most of the cost of replacing the roof of the members area(~$45000). That's all for now....back to the grindstone!

Went along- one concern is there appears to be a fair whack to the clubs depth:

All gone- all played League footy. By no means A-Graders but a fair bit of depth

We need to brutal sometimes and have players who are actually going to benefit the league side. Apart from Jacob Green I don't think any are genuine league footballers. I'm probably a bit harsh on Boyle but his results in the past 2 years have been ordinary at best. The rest are not up to it I'm afraid.

I agree with you Rock.....Green and Schleicher were on the cusp but were always one step forward and one step back.....tho Green did kick 30 - 40 goals this year as a small forward between the two grades.......Chalwell did well in the seconds but never transitioned to league....perhaps a change of scenery like say Steel Blue under his old colts mentor in Stavros will see Tyler reach his potential......and inherit some of my man love for him from BH......Boyle definitely stagnated......

Thought Ellis did his ACL in the latter part of the year? Locantro as we know got a bad head injury and had to retire...Riccardiello was good club man from all reports.....time will tell KCEF if you are right mate......but players always move on for what ever reason.

Totally agree with most on the quality of them. I'm not sure we've moved any on- just found it a little alarming that 10 or so of the Reserves Prelim team has gone. Green, Boyle, Schliecher have all played some good League footy. As long as there's adequate talent coming through from the Colts to replace then it's fine

Really important season in 2017. Believe it or not, I thought they went backwards last year. Though they won 3 more games, the team was considerably stronger with the additions of Watson and Crichton as well as a fit Hampson. The uncompetitiveness at the backend of the year was surprising.

But the new coaches know the ins and outs of the players now. The lack of A grade recruiting is a worry- despite Marsh falling into our laps.

Mate all clubs are struggling for A grade recruiting......besides home grown players returning most clubs have done fark all really.....EF were fantastic for that period between the EP win for about 3 - 4 weeks than rightly as u say went backwards big time.....no excuses but EF looked the goods when Hampson was fit and playing.....he is the key for us.....really cant see Peake kicking another 40 goals for us.....but he died after the state game TBH.....

gonna be interesting to see what Wiley does with Marsh TBH.....up back for his height?....up forward for his height?......or thru the middle for his speed? Is Watson a goalkicker?.....need help for Bristow in the ruck.....can Symonds step in or maybe Westwood?.....do we play Stokes as key position player?.....definitely need another mature decent recruit that is for sure.
