What gets me DD is that it was common knowledge that Duffy left PFC because of his colts coach at the time...his colts coach is no longer on PFC books, yet the club who developed him from a tiny tot still werent attractive for the kid to head home.....even with that war chest of theirs....EF were merely a means to an end in terms of winning a colts flag and getting drafted into the big league.....if he had stayed at Perth he would be playing Amateurs most likely now instead of a taste of AFL glitz and now good money for this years 2nd best team in WP.

Amazing how you've managed to put a positive spin on Duffy turning his back on the Sharks and claim all the glory for his taste of the bright lights and maybe on good coin at another club.

All hail the mighty EFFC. None of those knobs at the PFC, back then who still exist now would have the character to admit anything to do with the McMahon era. That bridge was burnt long ago.

Now you are being all sooky la la DD with those hail the mighty comments......, just because you are all anti Duffy because Duffy spat the dummy and left PFC at 16.....doesnt mean I have to be because the guy played in a colts winning premiership side during EFFC current lean run of success and now he wants some extra coin elsewhere instead of coming back to EF.......you guys still got your draft money for doing fark all....I think you are more pissed because PFC big wigs spent that money on those Morton boys for little return........I would rather have Duffy in EF colours in 2016......aint to be......but hopefully EF can use the transfer to cover his absence....time will tell.....glad to hear that Macca bridge was burnt years ago tho....well 2014 from memory!

You've completely misread my post Freezin. Seems you are a bit twitchy mate. Just love how you keep pumping your club, claim all the credit even with Max being delisted and wanting nothing to do with the blue and white jumper.

Bridge burnt comment was in reference to Max, not McDud. No sooky lala from me, last thing I was expecting was Max to return to Lathlain, you however were entitled to believe Max would play for the club that propelled him to AFL player status according to you. Despite the fact he was already a u/16's AFL Academy squad member well before switching to Moss St.

But hey, it's good to be trolling on your clubs thread for a change.

DD you are more than welcome to post on this thread anytime...positively or negatively....doesn't fuss me mate, it's a public footy forum......my bridges burnt comment also referred to McDud and not Max thus the 2014 reference...isn't that when PFC finally woke up and showed the guy the door.....you Perth boys snipe about Max every time BeforetheBounce wanders on to your Perth thread for some chit chat.....but hey we can to n fro about this all day, all I hope is that EF use whatever transfer fee they get for an ex AFL listed player who is 23 next year more productively than PFC did when you got Max's draft fee a few years back....not too sure exactly who PFC spent it on but I can only guess on a time line that PFC spent it on one or all three of the Morton Boys.....which you have to admit was a huge balls up......but hey like that Telecom ad says...."it's good to chat".....you have a great summer and xmas mate....looking forward to you chatting over here in the future.....

BC wrote: now you're a student of the game freez and my apologies for getting off thread....whats your take on Subi's new bloke Grimley? apparently Brisbane were looking at him before this years draft but obviously decided not to pick him. after coming out of hawthorn's system, only 24 and 6'6" and 95 kg surely one of the other AFL sides would have taken a chance unless there's something about him which puts them off. seems a bit odd to me.

I think a focused Grimley could easily kick more goals than Boland did in 2014 BC....his physical attributes are very good especially for the WAFL level......obviously AFL clubs have their pick of lots of tall players.....they can afford to be choosey and I guess this is where the mental side comes in to play....perhaps the guy has a few lazy traits which at his age and at the AFL level is a red flag...who knows....

I just think you guys will have a fella focused on trying to give his all for another AFL chance....if he doesn't get drafted for the 2017 year, Subi may see the reason why a few AFL clubs decided to pass on the fella.....but at the WAFL level the guy has the potential to kick a shed load of goals, which is good considering you guys have lost Boland and yarren.

At wafl level, at wafl level... He only kicked 46 goals in the vfl last season, you seem to rate the vfl a lot higher than the wafl

I don't reckon Mcdud was that wrong was he, in reality he's a player that flashes in and out he may stand out once in five games.

The way Before The Bounce carried on you'd reckon he was as good as Fyfe in the end he wasn't a big loss to the PFC.

Funny how you mention sooky lala and the topic is titled Duffy. Sort of fits really.

No Peter, Max is as good as Fyfe. Just ask him.

TOO, I watched Grimley play 2 games for Box Hill this year and he played both games solely in defence.....no doubt at the direction of his employer the Hawthorn Footy club.....so I am not too sure how many games he played solely up front.....with no distractions from an AFL club telling Subi where and how to play Grimley, plus the added motivation to do a Menagola, I would expect a fair few goals from the guy......hopefully from an opposition perspective I hope he flops :P .....not so much rate the VFL higher, just think the open spaces, drier grounds will increase Grimleys chances of kicking more than 46 goals......also with more AFL linked clubs in the VFL, there will be more sides with as tall opponents to Grimley to compete against week in week out......I really can think of only Chartres or Bristow at EF who would have the height and strength to match Grimley.....who have Cl got?.....but like I said I hope Grimley flops.....because if he fires then Subi have a ready made replacement for Boland....
