This should be a good test for both sides.....fully admit EF are only top of the ladder because of the WCER saga.....whilst on paper, Perth look to have some options height wise to really stretch EF defence.

Jupp v McInnes should be a good battle, whilst Goddard/ Teakle v AJ/Hyphen should be a great contest.....can see the Perth big boys causing some issues when resting up forward....more so if Bennell gets a gig, he always kicks a few v EF....whilst Stubbs and Carey are more then capable of stepping up as well.....good test for the likes of Eardley, Tassone, Mead and Murphy to keep things tight up back.

EF mids are in good form, especially Boekhorst, Murdock, English and Baskerville.....should be a good battle with Byrne, Ainsworth et al.....whilst if on song the likes of Marsh and O'Reilly can be a handful....though Perth's defence are under rated and Busher could easily play back to counter one of them.

C’mon Freezin- EF are equal top because they’ve won 3 and lost 1. Peel, Perth and SF have also beaten West Coast.

This should be a great contest. Perth certainly have some firepower up forward. Midfield battle will be huge- should be a cracking start

I generally don’t comment much on opposition teams, but to me Perth are an enigma.  I know it’s early in the season, but they can look irrepressible, then look average.  I don’t think EF will take them for granted - certainly hope not.  It’ll be interesting to see how they develop as the season goes on, because I reckon they’ve got real possibilities.

WAFL 2022: Perth Demons loss players to COVID-19 as East Fremantle regain quartet for round five clash
Ruckman Dakota Baldwin-Wright, forward Michael Bennell, defender Matt Taylor and fringe midfielder Regan Hill have all tested positive to the virus this week and will be in isolation for the clash.

The Demons had good news when Ajang Ajang tested negative despite having symptoms and has recovered in time to take on the Sharks.

No Jono Marsh....did he get injured in the state game? Noticed he didn't play much in the final quarter of that state match, but nothing mentioned re injuries.

You obviously have no idea about the land value around Lathlain Park. I’m just disappointed I won’t get to go to the Moss Street dog shit dump this year.

Oh well Cessy, you can always sit at home and mull over all those miserable days you spent at Moss St.  perhaps you could visit your local priest living in the rich pastures of Lathlain to get over those traumatic years.

That is a good point Cess. Think of the land value as obviously the buildings themselves are mostly bulldozer material. Back to the game and I must say I fancy Perth to overcome zone disadvantage and win this in a tight one on their home deck. What a fine ground it is too I might add.
