Oh dear....a few trigger points compromised here....but find it funny FF2 puts down Monaghan the senior coach,  yet praises Wiley the senior  coach....one is a premiership coach, with multiple finals appearances....the other with a poor win loss record, no finals and a spoon to boot.....not talking playing ability here FF2....just senior coaching ability.

DD out of interest would you be disappointed if someone made reference in jest to that home attack of yours recently saying Wiley was probably the cause of it?'....as for PFC zones....as Birdman says, someone who has been at the Perth zone coalface unlike you DD, you reap what you sow....irrespective of how rich the soil may or may not be.

I didn't realise FF2 was an ex-player. How many games did you pay, FF2?

Well it is certainly not made mention of in many of FF2's posts - they are mostly devoted to bagging either the EFFC board, coach, players or the regular posters on the EF threads, so well done DD for knowing this, but FF2 represented the blue and white with distinction in the 70's and 80's and also played in the 1984 grand final side that lost to Swan Districts.

Most of the losing 1984 GF side did taste glory in the 1979 and 1985 flag winning sides though. Monkey Brennan, Ray Sterrett, Darren Bennett and John Nolan were the four players from the 1984 GF side who were not part of either the 79 or 85 premiership sides  - but of course none of them played for the EFFC in the 1970's .

Took Big Ron a couple of years to clean up after those lean years of 80 & 81 under the Smith boys....hopefully Bill can do the same for the EFFC, after those lean years under ex Perth/Richmond champ Rob Wiley.

Well that's a good analogy Freezin, I like analogies. Thank you for bringing it up.  Having had experience in my younger days on a farm in the wheatbelt growing up I know you get a much leaner yield if your soil is less rich than others.

Yep so true DD, my old man leased a farm in Walkaway up near Geraldton, back in the 70s....geez it was tough going, but hey he was one never to whinge or moan about the unfairness of it all in regards to soil riches....just got creative and proactive....but it did help having powers above who valued his time & efforts and invested accordingly for fruitful results...good days they were....especially as a kid, running around in the GNFL juniors for Towns...got to meet EF players in Bentley, Hicks, Mazzuchelli etc....Towns had a great ground as well....with a scoreboard, clock and wind sock too.....Great times indeed....
