Interesting FF2. Glad Boekhorst has come back. Played Reserves last week so not sure what issue is that he’s playing this week. Certainly too good to be playing Reserves

I can elaborate that you don’t know what you’re talking about. But most people know that from your posts

Good to see Boekhurst elevated - looked pretty sharp last weekend and more importantly seemed to play with passion.

Young Monaghan unsurprisingly gets a gig and so does another old fav Michael Tassone. Oh well most coaches have their favourites. For our sakes, at least, I hope both do well.

Good to see Bill giving one of those Wiley/Fry recruits a second chance then FF2. I see O'Reilly is playing CHF in the reserves.....did he play that bad last week to be dropped? Also Snadden again in the reserves......struggling for early form? No Dixon either.....injury related?

O'Reilly looked in fine shape -  physically that is. Certainly added some muscle since his first Moss Street stint. Game wise floated around between doing pretty well and being somewhat inconspicuous. More the later as the game went on. But young Davidson comes in and gets a shot at CHB which is probably a good idea at this point - especially if you ignore the idea of playing O'Reilly as a forward.. No doubt that would of been considered - but Bailey at this stage would appear to be preferred in the forward line.

Dixon is not named in the ressies so must be injured well spotted Freez. Hopefully nothing too serious as looks a likely type. Brynn Teakle has been named though - good to see him back.

Both teams had good patches in the 1st half. EF had the better of the midfield battle and Schoenfeld and English look like excellent pick ups. After half time, Perth got on top and EF missed some easy goals. Last Q was an arm wrestle but Perth held on. I agree with the Perth posters about their ruckman being influential though Strnadica didn’t play the 2nd half and McGuire went in there. For us, Schoenfeld, English, Leggett and Chalmers were all good. Marsh did a couple of good things and Murdock and Bennett were solid. Need more from Boekhorst, Tassone and nearly all the forwards. From my watch- Eardley and Dixon didn’t play and Snadden was in the 2s again. Didn’t see much of that game but looked like a tough day at the office.

Cheers KC....Gee that's 3 quarters put of 8 EF have failed to score a goal....obviously early days but goal kicking certainly raises it's ugly head for EF...lack of them and kicking points instead of goals

1 goal in the 2nd Half yesterday at "the home of eagles" and very little up front target wise. Max Murphy did well kicking 3 first half goals -  but he is a small so not really a target. Jono Marsh spent time forward and in the middle and provides a physical presence - kicked 2 goals. But there was little else.

Sounding like a record locked in a groove here but the idea of Bailey as a forward should be put in the bin. Bills son once again struggled to justify his inclusion. .Not in our best 22 at the moment. Ambrose Ryan also added little yesterday. Dixon should be available for Friday. That should give us another target up front and i would be inclined to play O'Reilly in the forward line too. Having said that Davidson was pretty hopeless yesterday and a concern at CHB
.
I concur with what KCEF posted - Schoenfeld really impresses and English improved on the week before. Did not really notice Chalmers. Little Buddha very good again. Bennett and Jansen solid without being spectacular..Boekhurst was well down. Kommer has not been his usual effervescent self in the 2 practice games and Cam Eardley did not play.

The backs did pretty well yesterday. Jupp, Baskerville and Davies all excellent. Leggett battled away, as he always does, though slightly off the boil yesterday. Tucker was pretty good and hard to fault. Meade has also impressed as has McGuire these last 2 weekends.

I took note of the number English wore, 49 as I never saw this kid play league or reserves for us before he got drafted. Never sighted him until he had a little patch in the 3rd qtr where he picked up 3 or 4 possessions. I don’t think we’ll miss him but then again Quill is not in our best 22 by a long margin. Leggett for me is a total waste for you guys as a permanent half back.

The sooner you fuck Monaghan off and find a new coach the better. Cody is an explosive type of player best suited in the midfield or forward where he can generate excitement. He can be explosive out of the middle. His old man had a lot to say yesterday prancing around Lathlain like he owns the joint.

Baldwin-Wright was up against Bailey a bit but I’m sure I saw Strnadica  have a shot for goal in the last qtr. Maybe he was supposed to sit out the second half but Bill saw an opportunity to chalk up a rare win.
Get on your bike.
