Good news that we've signed up O'Reilly so early in the piece, if true.

Interesting about Loersch considering he didn't play at all in 2020 and has hardly played over the 3 years at the club. I actually thought the club might move him on TBH

Could still be moved on mate...what Loersch wants maybe not what the coach wants. Josh Schoenfeld could add some outside zip for EF midfield....

What I was getting at was any midfielder type that comes out of the AFL system, EF should be looking at....sounded like EF mids struggled at times to generate inside 50s and lacked pace....from memory Schoenfeld had some zip about him which EF could use....but yeah 58.. I know other cashed up clubs could well sneak in before EF....on a whole variety of potential recruits....good to see O'Reilly is already on EF playing list.

I think the Midfield could definitely benefit from a fresh look. Jansen and Snadden had good years and still have their best years ahead of them while Murdock and Bennett keep, and should continue, improving. Could we benefit playing Leggett midfield?
Kommer, Boekhorst and Eardley are all getting older and if we’re been brutally honest, probably haven’t delivered. Griffin is gone and a younger Ruck comes in- probably Strnadica with the edge over Teakle and Watson.
I still think we need a Key Forward and Small forward that kicks goals. Is that Loersch, Bonomelli or O’Reilly? Or do we recruit one in? Small forward, not sure what around

Good to see 4 new faces to the clubs coaching ranks for 2021 on the clubs website....didn't realise ex Cl premiership player Jess Laurie had a family connection to the EFFC..Harry Taylor obviously back in a mentoring development role, plus another ex WP coach....that will please FF2...and a former Peel development coach....good luck to all four....

Freez, that would be a relative of Ray ? Laurie a 50s/60s EF premiership player...I think.

Great grandad was Jock Laurie, a Lynn Medallist and grandad was Ray.

KCEF, I have the Football Budget for October 8, 1955 Grand Final and Ray Laurie #9 listed as a 21yo so I presume he played that day. He most likely also played in EF Grand Final win 1957.
