There are two types of East Perth supporters. Those who hated it and sooked and walked away and those who hated it but remained as members but wanted to make sure the club could save itself financially so as to survive and return as a stand alone entity in 2019.

Not being a smartarse here Chaddy22, but what will the 2nd group of supporters you mentioned do if the East Perth board vote to extend the alignment until 2021? Or do you think this is unlikely?

I think a few will jump ship. But the question has to be asked is how much money is enough to be stand alone.I suppose the only reason you would go to 2021 is if you thought a couple of clubs would fold or merge. On current profits 2021 would have us with $2 mill in the bank and if you can't operate as stand alone by then I would think none of the other clubs bar subi will be able to.

I won't be attending again Chaddy. In my opinion by the end of 2018 the club will have enough cash in the bank to run the club well into the future. Let's not forget the main reason for us getting into debt has been removed from the club.

Both clubs committed to a five year deal so you would think that the wafc had some contingency to deal with the end of these deals.Either we go back to the way it was which I can't see happening or both afl clubs having stand alone teams in a eleven team comp from 2019.I would think a ten team comp would be better with peel becoming the dockers stand alone team and divide up peel's zones.I don't know what the financial situation of peel is but if the wafc are saying they might not bail out clubs in the future why not have the dockers play their wafl games down there and we one less team draining valuable resources from the other 8.

It should have been done a lot earlier.I became a member in 1990 when it looked like we could fold and things could have been done ealier to improve our debt problems.

The review just done wants an 18 round season. If WCE have a stand alone team in the WAFL (with strict top up rules) everyone plays each other twice and Bob is your aunty's live in lover.

No statement from the EPFC following mondays meeting. I'm presuming they need time to let the Eagles know the bad news. Or am I being wildly optimistic.
