It would have cost around one million to fix the drainage etc at Perth Oval. With the Government and council giving nothing in order to starve you out. It was the only option not what I would call a cowards move. Or the more absurd notion that a club that moves grounds no longer exists. Started out a good thread but I won't offer my opinion as it's just degenerating into more cheap shots.

LB: I would appreciate it if you would give your opinion, having watched them all over the years. I remember for example players, such as, Luciano Baroni, playing their heart out for the club.

Went to Maylands Primary with them in the 70's gtrxuone and also played at Maylands footy club with them mate for a few years with a couple ex EP boys in Papotto and Lewis.....all four absolutely dominated, as you would expect at that age.......good guys as well.......playing off half back I got a good view of their talent......

I would go with Peter Spencer if I had to pick one...interesting that I see no mention of the heart and soul of the club Craig Wolff get a mention here...for service to club alone must be up there. when you say local do you mean from Ep zone or a WA born player?
