Whilst its only the end of round one I thought yesterday performance was well short of what the East Perth team of 2013 produced particularly towards the end of the year. Cohesion should improve as the season goes on and there are some good EP players to come in once fit.

I'd expect more EP players should get an opportunity at league level as the season unfolds and injuries occur at WCE. As for being premiership favourites I think they will be there abouts but far from a one horse race as many have predicted.

Yes a lot of misinformed posters panicking. EP of 2013 would have beaten yesterday's side comfortably.

Very even comp this year I reckon in terms of any team on any given day is a chance of winning.

Agree. It was good to see the top 2 teams from last years home and away series both lose in round one and the fact that 3 of the 4 games saw the outsider win.

All goes well for a competitive and reasonably even comp. I wouldn't be surprised if swans who have been installed as wooden spoon favs knock off EP this week.
