Very keen Ted to hear your learned in depth analysis of what went wrong at fully aligned Tigers who  unbeknowns to them, had 6 future dual premiership players within their ranks,along with the other 10 eagle rejects,although losing to lowly East Perth at the last ever game at Perth Oval,may have influenced their decision,but boy o' boy they would've been kicking themselves.

RL, if you want to rationalise it from your perspective of the quality of the Eagles players rather than the reality of twice selling out, suit yourself. But it's attitudes like yours that make me think another alignment would be accepted by most EP fans IF it brought success. Look at this way. The Eagles reserves team currently only only have about 8 players turning out each week. So if you guys were aligned, I imagine you would say "Vardy and Hutchings and Ah Chee are washed up, Trew is just a kid, O'Neill and Brander are just average fringe players, Caneron and Jones are flashy types who go missing for much of the game, so our success is all down to Dobbo and Blee and Ramsay and Jonesey." On the other hand, of course, if you weren't successful, then it would be the fault of those AFL hacks blocking the pathway for all the talented EP juniors. Try looking at it from the perspective of integrity, credibility and independence and you might see things differently. Got to be a line in the sand, my friend, no alignment, on principle, under any circumstances rather than convincing yourself that past alignments haven't really mattered if you think about it enough. 

i'm sorry Ted but you need to let go  of your alignment obsession and could you please condense your rambling diatribe because i have a very short attention span,and do'nt have the time or inclination to respond to someone scarred by years of failure.
