And to expand a little. The Lions have a bye this week. Then teams have a general bye in the fortnight break between weeks 6 & 7. And Subiaco pencilled in for a bye in week 9 for the first weekend of Junes Foundation Day fixtures. According to the calendar, Subiaco do 3 byes in six weeks.

Ditto for EF 3 byes between 12-18....no bye for first 11 rounds then 3 in six rounds...EF will be fresh for the finals....LOL

Does anyone know how the likes of Hancock, Wheeler, Joyce, Cockie, Bradley and co are going with their injury recoveries? You'd hope at least a couple of them would be back on the park after the current break.

Interesting to see how we go against an inconsistent WP this week after two and a half weeks off. No doubt Schoey would have been training the boys hard with match simulations and so on but there's nothing like actual game time. Losing Deluca is not ideal but hopefully a couple of the long term injuries will be back on the park.

Why isn't Deluca playing? Ha just joking BC, good luck for the weekend.

Am I missing something here? Any team that has a bye this year ( i.e everybody) will have a 14 day break. So we are talking about 2 extra days becuase Subiaco played on a Thursday ??? The teams that have byes on either side of the State game will have 21 days off.
So whats the issue?? I think its a first world problem for an unbeaten team with a percentage of 250. Not much else to fret about I guess.

It's not ideal mike because we have 3 such byes in a 6 week period and the extra couple of days only exacerbates it.

Yeah I see yu won’t be playing either as he unfortunately ran into a souths blokes knee with his head and was stretchered off. Poor bloke hope he’s not out for too long

Pretty much unchanged except for Deluca...interesting to see Hancock named. He'll probably play ressies on restricted minutes but at least he's on the way back.
