with 17 out of 22 freo reserves playing in the game, what part of 42's statement is incorrect?

Reckon Peel drew the short straw in the GF....considering how shite Freo were last year....imagine being forced to play 17 shite players who weren't even deemed good enough to play for a shite Freo team...poor Peel fans of must been gutting watching them play on GF day...

Yeah those players were so shite that the best team in the land picked up a couple of them whilst Fremantle re-signed the vast majority of the rest!

BH...but they were shite for Freo last year when Peel were made to use them in the GF....no dont think the WBD recruited any Freo players from last years GF team from memory.....ohhhh u mean GWS.....yeah Mitch and Tendai have been in exemplary form this year...LOL

MATT DeBoer has been in good form since he came into the TOP of the LADDER GWS side whilst Tendai was chosen in Round 1 but sustained a long term injury...interesting that the high flying Giants could find a role for both supposedly "shite" players whilst the perennial strugglers Fremantle couldnt...probably says more about the perennial strugglers!

Mitch...Matt...who gives a fark...funnily enough u knew who I was talking about BH...GWS have a huge injury list...no Deledio, no Griffen no Cogs etc, etc ...all A graders..thus DeBoer getting a game...GWS wanted some mature bodies as back up just in case..not some pimply faced 19 yr old...smart thinking by ex WBD champ Cameron......read into what you want BH...but DeBoer or Tendai wouldnt get anywhere near GWS full strength side...but hey they ruled the WAFL last year wearing Peel jumpers not Freo jumpers.....and that is all that counts come end of the day as far as Shepherd,Ditchburn and all the Peel fans are concerned about.....same as the other 15 players deemed not good enough to play for Freo in 2016.....

Well Blakely was "good" enough to play enough games to make Peels GF side LAST year mate....and you gotta admit Freo were pretty shite last year....so if the cap fits, then I guess Blakely had to wear it LAST year....good to see him playing fantastic footy THIS year for Freo tho..

All I am saying is that folk keep bleating on about how unfair it was with Peel having 17 AFL aligned players in last years GF....but surely those 17, were players not deemed good enough to play many games for a very shite AFL side last year....so either these guys were shite or not?...not too sure how it can be unfair of a team playing a shite player let alone 17 of them?...

Freeze out of interest do you know what the breakdown of WAFL games versus AFL games was for Blakely last season?
I was flabbergasted when he was dropped late in the year as he was playing some pretty good footy especially as he is only a young bloke but Lyon reckoned he had some "deficiencies" to work on funnily enough with the exact number of games left to qualify him for WAFL finals!
I don't think he was the only one in that category.

agreed BH...Mzungu, De Boer, Apeness, Blakely, Silvani, Suban, Weller, Griffin, Sam Collins, Zac Clarke, Clancee Pearce and so the list goes on all played a big chunk of AFL during the season....5 games to qualify for WAFL is a nonsense.
