Great win by the colts, the boys looked very sharp. Very tall side.

Fridge, Stevo, Bestry and Madut all ran out for the 2s

Massive win over Perth in the colts 102 to 46. Been a while since our colts have had a win like that and Perth have been very good in the Colts in recent years but have sent a few up to their league team this year. Very very early but hopefully a sign that the new development structure is starting to have some impact.

Yes it is fantastic to see the colts have a win like this. Well done to everyone involved.

Also a good solid win in the ressies with Cockie having 27 disposals, Sokol banging 6 majors through, Dylan Nelson kicking 4 and Daniel Leach having 24 disposals (19 kicks) and kicking a goal.

Can't remember the last time I've been there to watch all 3 grades win so well done boys.

Good hard fought contest yesterday, Perth are a much improved side this year and will be pushing for a finals spot. We looked ordinary again, as good as Liam Ryan is he can't be our only target up forward. Guiness did well again and battled hard all day, look forward to him getting some help from big Madut in a few weeks but really don't want to rush him back, give him another week in the 2s. Horse did what Horse does every week along with Kitch, Della, Max and Fez but we were just too untidy with fumbles and poor decisions. Unimpressed so far with Litherland, didn't notice him much yesterday so he needs to lift.

Was great meeting up with LaHinda again and catching up with Grassy, Mudlark, SeniorSeagull and Chopper. Not too many in the northern end outer bar but I think we helped them make a profit along with a few good passionate Demons supporters.

Quite an underwhelming game of footy, both teams were very fumbly and indirect but Perth much less so in the first half. They ran harder and provided more options going forward and their mids were well on top. If not for Liam Ryan, we would have been in a world of pain at halftime. Impressed with many of the Perth youngsters who had a real dip but did run out of gas a bit which is to be expected. They need to stick with these kids and will bear fruit in the not to distant future.

We won the game in 20 mins of very good footy in the 3rd, all that really changed was the intensity which means more pressure on the ball carrier which resulted in Perth committing lots of turnovers, credit to Perth who were staring down the barrel of a shellacking when they finished the qtr off strongly to get back to within 3 goals. The 4th was just an untidy arm wrestle with both teams missing easy chances, We missed a heap of chances kicking 2.6 to 2.1 in the last, both teams were knackered due to injuries and limited benches. Umpires were terribly inconsistent all day paying tiggy-touchwood stuff and missing the obvious ones for both teams, but we actually ended up in the positive at 24 to 20 which hasn't happened for a long time.

Clearly BOG was Horse with 35 touches and 2 goals, should have had 3 but was well run down in the goal square by the Perth lad who unfortunately hit the goal post full speed, hope he's pulled up ok. Ryan was sensational with 6.3, he was a class above any other forward but remains almost a one man band up forward with leaves us vulnerable, Sokol and Nelson bagged goals in the 2's so must come under consideration. Walters had another good game and now seems set in the midfield, Phez as usual with his 29 touches, Hoskins, Kitch and Dela all had really strong games. Powell at CHF shows he has some talent but needs to be far more aggressive at the contest to be a real force. We again looked much slower than the opposition and were found out by Souths last week, so when we play teams like WP, SD & Cl we will be under the pump as they are full of pace.

Joondy next week at Joondy will be a big test, will watch their game against the feral scum today with interest.

Not only that Heater, we have a big problem with defensive pressure from our forwards, we just don't have anyone atm who will fight tooth and nail to lock it in. It comes out far too easily on too many occasions. We desperately need guys of the ilk of the Deluca brothers, Halligan up there. Anyone know when Halligan is due back?

I was think exactly the same thing DG and so was Schowey on Saturday. I was sat in the stand just in front of the coaches box and he was going berserk at the lack of forward defensive pressure. I also was wishing the likes of the Deluca's or Rhys Waters were back in the fold. 52 inside 50s for 25 scoring shots ain't a great return.

Nelson can play that role, kicked 4 in the 2s and has a defensive side
