You can add Rumble and Halligan to that reserves side. Schoey is true to his word which he always is in you need to earn that spot and work your arse off to keep it.

Not a great game of WAFL footy tonight - Ordinary game by both teams with both a bit rusty as were the umpires (went both ways though - and it's not why Subi lost)

1st quarter Wp not bad with the breeze - fast running game. Subi struggled

2nd quarter Subi better and got into the game with the strong breeze

3rd Subi held up WP well with the Cardys having the use of it. Subi looking to run over them in the last

4th Subi offered jack shit, looked ordinary didn't tackle well or apply enough pressure. WP ran and supported each other while carring the ball in numbers going forward.

Subi have a lot of work to do through the middle with our on-ballers turning the ball over too much with poor delivery - Bristow,Kerr,Forrest even Parker early, all at times stuffed it.

I don't think either team played real well although you could see WP had more class and that shone through in the last when they had to stand up and left Subi in their wake.

For the Falcons I liked the games of Kerr,Nelson (knows how to get it) Salecic,Tsalikis,Black and the big ruckman Keunen broke even with Sinclair I thought. Not many passengers - a team effort without inspiring.

For Subi harder to find but I thought Delluca,Sinclair,Randall,K-T,Mahoney,Rumble and Parker had a crack but none for me set the world on fire.
Subi had far too many passengers - Herring, Daniels and Picket might as well be having a beer with me in the stands and McDonald,Smythe,Leishman and Hay have to do more. Subi's ressies have some good players this week and I can see a few of the league guy's getting a spell on Good Friday ???

Subi had a great opportunity for a win against WP who didn't bring their "A Game" but still had a comfy win. Not a good start to the season - hopefully next week we switch on ???

Worried about Herring. Three matches, 7 possessions, 5 possessions, 5 possessions for a total of 2 goals. Maybe he's going to be like Mark Norsworthy - good in the SANFL, bad in the WAFL.

Chop,

Fair summation mate, agree 100% re: Daniels (Tex Walker lookalike) and Pickett, they were terrible. The maggots were evenly shit house, one poor (non) decision in the last qtr was near on the most dumbfounding thing I have seen in 25 years when Pickett full on charged one of our blokes in the last qtr. He was attempting to take a hanger but realised he missed timed his run and then curled up and cannoned into our blokes back, the umpire was standing 5 metres away !

From what I am told he cannoned into Kody Mannings back.
The wack was heard on the other side of the oval and as you mentioned it seems the only person not blown away by the concussion of the hit was the umpire
Good start from Manning with 2 x Goals 1 x Point to get WP on the board, a couple of misses he should have put through the sticks I am told as the game progressed but I think that he and a couple of others will bring more to the table in the weeks to follow
Seems our 6 goaler was a little quite on the night - maybe tagged out of it??
any one comment on that.....I'm away again, wasnt at the game just had friends relay the info for me....
