Yeah it's an interesting looking squad. I suppose you could divide it into three parts. Some might say that on sheer talent, part 3 is the most talented, though obviously the least experienced.

No, I know very little about the big fella. He is a genuine mystery recruit I think he might have played a bit of junior footy out Southern suburbs way and a bit of ammos.

Any of you Subi boys heard how young Blechynden is doing ?????

Last I spoke to his Dad a couple of months back Blech is coming along ok and pretty fit but he won't risk playing this season whilst his skin is still settling down from the burns.

Also heard from one of the assistant coaches that Blake Broadhurst will probably not be playing at all this season as is about to have a hip operation which would prevent him from playing untill late in the season anyway so they're thinking it's better to have him recover properly and be back fresh next year. Big loss but he was labouring last year as the season went on so let's hope its worth the wait for 2014.
Let's also hope Herring can be a target for us.

That's a shame. Still, like you say, better to get it over and done with and come out firing in 2014.

I reckon Broadhurst with dodgey hips is a better focal point than a fit Ryan Herring....you guys do know Herring played 10 or so games for Peels reserves last year and Peel came last!

True, he didn't fire a shot for Peel. (Except in one game against us when he kicked 7)

Still, he played 68 games for Sturt so he must be able to play when he wants to.

Why didn't Broadhurst go in for surgery at the end of 2012?

Apparently he and the medicos were hopeful that a good rest after last season would help the hip to settle down but it flaired in pre-season training so time to bite the bullet!
