Happy New Year to all you Lions diehards. I think there's plenty to look forward to in season 2024 with another year and preseason for the likes of Kentfield, Schofield, Mayo, Savigni...Kyron Hayden to come back in, Foley and Clark to bring some exAFL grunt.

The only potential downside will be if Zac Clarke retires which will be a huge loss but hopefully we can manage with a couple of the younger talls as pinch hitters. All-in-all, bring it on I say.

Same yo you BC, I think we'll certainly be competitive but not sure we're at the same level as the big 3 in EF, EP and CL and the ever present elephant in the room .. Peelmantle.

A very reliable source has confirmed what we already know that Zac Clarke is an out, his knees are shot which is a huge blow for us as he was the dominant ruck in the comp. Apparently we are searching far and wide for a replacement, wouldn't it be nice if we could get Teakle. Doesn't make a lot of sense from a playing pov for him to head back to the Gummies who are very well served with quality talls plus I dont expect they have much left in the salary cap for a player of his ilk, whereas we do given the departure of Clarke.
Also Stainsby is having a year off for travel, wish him well, hope he comes back refreshed for 2025.

Back off, SS!!! Teakle would surely be the #1 ruckman at EF and we also lost Dixon.

He seems likely to get picked up by Collingwood though it would seem
