Teams in and looks like Dewar, Schofield and J Faraone In for Berenger, Hitchcock and Robbins. Couple unlucky to go out there, but good to see Lachlan Henderson and Lachlan Vanirsen named in the reserves too, good depth in the club at the moment and healthy competition for places in the side. Big test again this week against last years premiers.

Robbins is a bit stiff, but Faraone has been kicking a few in the 2's but lacks the defensive physical pressure of Robbo. Gus is a no brainer, will probably go to Keitel who hasn't been in great form recently so may be due for a big one. All about the mids, Joondy have a very good mids group with guys like Meadows, Nelson & Black so we will need to be at our very best to make the most of Clarkes expected domination of the hitouts. At Leederville so that just tips it our way imho. Joondy oval is worth 3 or 4 goals to them.

Berenger seriously unlucky. More likely a rest for him. Robins very unlucky too. I'm tipping they'll go back to him, but let's see what farone can do.

Falcons were really off their game. Hardly gave a whimper.

Good win, at our best we will be hard to beat. Zac Clarke again, Liam H, Braut tag team, took meadows out of it

Arrived back in town last night and the first thing I logged into was the WAFL app and saw the result. Fantastic effort by all concerned. I'm starting to believe we're genuine contenders but reckon Wardman needs to stick with the younger guys like Berenger and Robbins and not bring back the old stagers as they become available just because they've been there and done that. In saying that, we sit on top of the pile for the moment so the club is very much heading in the right direction.

Also, Zac Clarke must be the recruit of the year. He's definitely in Sandover conversations and is almost like Dela reincarnated. Hickmott has gone to a new level and is a genuine mid these days and not just a tagger and Alone is doing a good job through the middle as well. We needed these guys to step up as mids with Kyron Hayden going down early and they're doing a great job.

A bye next week then it's game on against the petticoats....can't wait.

Super team effort, with Clarke & L Hickmont the standouts, Sok not far behind. The backline as a unit apart from Gus were terrific, but their job was made easier due to our mids intense pressure. Keitel played a terrific lone hand for Joondy and clearly had the better of Gus. The tackling pressure was elite again, similar to the early games v Joondy & CL, great to see that pressure being applied consistently. Shame to see Alone go down with an injury, he has been very good, his left foot disposal has been elite and so strong at the contest. Along with L Hickmont, the rest of the mids in Giro, W Hickmont, Kitch, Schoey, Morgan and Braut all delivered. Mayo was dangerous in patches and as soon as he puts 4 qtrs together he will be a huge problem for other teams defence. The 3 big forwards in Mayo, Borchet and Sok are working well, with Borch able to give Zac an occasional break, not that he really needs it, he has a huge tank. Faraone, had 9 disposals and 2 goals which is good for a small forward but lacks the defensive pressure of Robbins who is bigger and stronger, if Robbins can hit the scoreboard more often, he would be the better option. I like how Wardman is using Kitch as a HF plus runs through the mids. We are not so reliant on him given the good spread of mids we now have with the boys coming up from the ressies flag team. Vanirsin was BOG in the ressies so he's one who can come in if Alone doesn't come up. Well earned rest this week then a top of the table clash down at Apartment stadium should be a ripper.

Hey SS... I watched a replay of the game last night on the AFL app and thought Mayo was huge in the first quarter which really set us up for the entire match. I agree with your comment that he'll be a big headache for the opposition when he starts stringing 4 qtrs together as he'll take at least a first or second tier backman which will release the likes of Sok or Borchet. I also agree that Robbins should be persevered with as he brings more to the table than just goal kicking.

The jerkers have a first class midfield but thought we more than matched them with the numbers we had running through the middle.  In my view, this is emphasised by the fact Giro plays off a wing this season whereas he was our go to mid last year but we now have a number of options including Alone, Morgan, the Motts, Kitch, Max, Schofield, Braut and so on.  All good news as we head towards the pointy end.
