Yep, all good points BC and SS.
By the way, how annoying is it that there's no stats on the WAFL App now for reserves or colts?
I realise it's a sign of the times for the WAFL. especially in this weird season, but unless you can get to a full reserves game, it's hard to know who's stepping up in the twos.
Or do I not have the latest app or just doing something dumb?

none of it is worth watching to be honest: kicking ten goals is becoming like the old twenty goals and so on. For all the defensive play, we doublled SD's score; back in 1979, when SD tried to win, it doublled our score even though the Lions kicked twenty goals ourselves.

There is an old saying in cricket, make sure you have drawn the game before you try and win it, or something along those lines; this philosophy makes sense in cricket provided FC and test matches are not played to the end as they were in Australia before the war. However, playing for a draw or a low scorring loss should not be a part of aussie rules.
