Funny in 20 years time you will only remember a handful of these current Dockers players.Fyfe,Hogan.Lobb,Sanderlands,Brayshaw and a few others.Ballantine is a player no footy fan willl ever forget.Been such an entertaining player. But life has gone on and he's been cooked since the start of 2018.
Matera a top draft pick was horrible last year.Doesnt get enough footy. Not sure what Ross can do with him.Maby half fwd in the play more.Did the Eagles win 19 centre clearances in a row today.Lobb+ Hogan didn't come for free but the little tiger is now at Brisbane.

Ross Lyon will not coach Dockers in 2020. P.s. I'm not Kim hagdorn, it's just fuc#ing obvious.

Saving some miracle, (and it is possible he will survive this is FFC we are talking about) he will be gone

I watched the game on TV nd was quite happy through the first 20 minutes of the game, great pressure, some attack on the ball and both sides doing good hard football but as the game went on it just seemed that there was a game plan that worked ( and I still cannot workout WCE's plan) and one that was simply non existent.

Walters tried to be tough with Gaff but it was a little insipid but when he concentrated on the ball looked good, they missed Neale and some of the young super stars simply looked from a galaxy far far away. Brayshaw looked like he was born to play with men and will be great.

Lobb and Hogan will grow into the team and that is a positive for them. Darcy looked out of his depth against a bloke who has been to three teams and has struggled to be a regular, Vardy did what had to and at least Scott Jones tried and did a couple of good things.

There are some positives for Freo but maybe when points are on the line then they will come to the party. They have a relatively easy start against teams are of the same ilk so winning a couple could be their catalyst for a better season!

Ross Lyon used to say repeatedly "We are a no excuse football club, anytime, anyone, anywhere. These days he's prepared to roll out the excuses. Well he's already rolled out a big one and the season hasn't even started yet, carrying on about a 6 day break between last week's JLT v Collingwood and this game. Well it's a bloody scratch match you don't have to play everyone. That for me shows early on he's a coach that knows he's under pressure.

Ross is under pressure make no mistake about it no matter what spin Peter Bell or Steve Rosich want to put on it. If Ross can't produce a winning product that is exciting to watch then the natives will get very restless and by that I mean talk back radio, social media and probably more important than anything, BUMS ON SEATS.

If attendances fall away after the massive investment in Hogan and Lobb and losing a gun midfielder who walked out on the club for a cellar dweller then the club will have to swing the axe.

You can rule star recruit Jesse Hogan OUT of the Freo Round 1 side after a club imposed suspension.
Not a good start and look before your first appearance at a new club!

He copped a bad whack in the ribs whilst out on the piss.... The signs were there, Melbourne way too keen to offload a player of his calibre.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) depending which way you look at it, this is the world we now live in. Anyone who has a crack at him will be condemned for not knowing the facts and being insensitive. Jessie has had quite a bit to deal with over the last couple of years losing his father and suffering from and overcoming testicular cancer.

Dusty Martin came out on the weekend and revealed the anxiety and depression he suffered last year. Today I was watching a YouTube doco about the man regarded as the greatest snooker player of all time (and still going) and he revealed how he struggled to cope mentally early in his career after his Dad copped 20 years in jail for murder from a pub fight when he was just 24.

And anyone (me included) thinking they are a bit soft these days compared to 20 or 30 years ago, we've seen some players from those areas reveal to Mike Sheehan on Fox Footy the bouts of depression they suffered in their playing career. One of those was Ken Hunter. Who would have thought?

Hopefully Jessie gets the right help he needs.

This is going to get a lot worse with video now circulating online. Clearly not just on the drink. Wankers for leaking the video.

What a complete train wreck for Fremantle at the start of the season. As Mark Duffield said in his article this morning, the future employment of Rosich and Lyon depend on their ability to get Hogan back on track so that he can make a meaningful contribution to the team. Obviously the first step is for the club to give Jesse all the support he needs at this stage
