Hasn't the Bangladesh comp claimed a few of those big hitting signings from the WI et al?
Where's Cam Green?

David Warner and Steve Smith are playing over there. It started yesterday. Lots of ex South Africans and English. The Windies finished there last match v Bangladesh about 2 weeks ago.Theres only a few of the Windies players on there team lists.Unless they have International commitments.
The Big Bash salary cap is 1.4 million for the 18 man squad.Well behind the IPL but clearly the no2 comp globally.

Josh Phillipe scored 30 off 15 tonight to steer the sixers to victory. Given the Scorchers turgid batting this year, how did they only view him as a "reserve" batsman behind the established players who havent been performing?

He was mentioned as a WA batsman. Gee he looked good.. Better than Klinger.

The Odi boys will be playing Big Bash the next few days without BBL contracts.Playing under CA contracts.Mitch Marsh has a CA contract but no contract with the Scorchers. Some of the test boys who don't play ODI's will also be playing.Dont think CA will let all of them play.

Are you sure about Mitch Marsh gtrx? It would be strange for the captain of the Scorchers not to have a contract with them.

The commentator on Maquarie Radio said it before the Renegades v Hurricanes game. His name was Liam Pickering.Think he played AFL for Richmond.

Interesting to hear 91.3 radio canvass people as to why the BBL interest is waning. Its popularity is probably dropping here because the Scorchers aren’t winning. Don’t know if and why it’s dropping off elsewhere - maybe 14 games a season is too much.

58 the crowds have never been that good in Melbourne or Sydney. They should think about moving the Renegades down to Geelong. Last Thursday had 25,000 down there.Perth.Adelaide,Brisbane and Hobart still go ok.Channel 7 not having a Saturday game to televise. No Perth telecast outside Fox for last Saturdays game. Also 14 games in 6 weeks is a lot of games. Also the spin bowlers are on top in BBL8.
Brisbane Heat have 3 games in the next week.Baz McCullum and Lynn are going to lite the place up .

You might be thinking of Michael Pickering, gtrxuone.
Liam - now an AFL player manager - pulled on the boots for North Melbourne and Geelong.
