And I quote"New figures reveal more than 66,000 people travelled to Perth specifically to watch football at the 60,000-seat venue in 2018 and spent almost $66 million while here."

How does that equate to recouping the cost of $1.8 billion in 10 years?

I also quote: "Tourism Council WA chief executive Evan Hall said based on the council’s 2014 estimate that 38,000 AFL visitors would generate $117 million for WA, the cost of the stadium could be recouped in a tick over 10 years.

Interesting that it quotes 38,000 would generate $117 million yet the earlier paragraph quotes a figure of 66,000 in 2018 spent almost $$66 million whilst here.

The article also mentions the Bledisloe Cup and soccer matches without including the cost to get those matches.

It also doesn't include the interest payments associated with the building of the stadium inits current location.

Furthermore how on earth did Langoulant and the deadset numptys that wanted it built at Kitchener Park Subiaco expect to fit 60-70k in that tiny location surrounded by housing that couldnt handle 40k crowds let alone the public transport upgraded requirements and absolutely zero wow factor of that Subiaco site???

Continue to demean the quality of a former Under Treasurer who is from the Liberal side of politics: the same side as what you appeared to be on BH.

I trust the dollars accrued from selling the naming rights of the new stadium were not included.

Apparently 38 degrees and people have to sit in the hot sun, it is actually quite mind boggling that this u beaut stadium is built for people to sit in the searing heat. And it is because not enough tickets have been sold, rather than try to find an incentive to get more people there they have actually devised a way of keeping more people away.
Bravo to all involved.

Maybe they could pay people to let people in, sell food and drink etc rather than pay people to put up ropes and keep people out.
Great to have a new state of the art stadium and then park people in 38 degree heat.
