Pretty evenly poised right now, Kohli is a huge key from here as India don't bat too deep. And the pitch seems to holding up better then commentators were predicting, day 3 will be interesting.

AR Gary The Goat is currently our best performing Test Cricketer by some way. If only a few of our batsmen would improve as much as he has in the last few years.

Yes mate it is a fantastic venue and a good pitch with something in it for the bowlers. I love the WACA but it can be unbearable on the hot days with barely any shade at all.

BH; that is true; happily, he also went back over the wicket not long after my post so that was fine. He is a good enough bowller to get batsmen caught at the wicket, at first-slip, or caught and bowlled. Three modes of dismissal he won't get if he bowls around the wicket for long periods of time.

Who would ever see Indian fast bowlers making Aust batsmen jump on an Aussie pitch....not sure what lead, the Aussies are going to get but 250 should give the Aussie quicks something to work with.....Finch gone with a finger, Handscomb farking techniqueless and Marsh inconsistent as ever....up to Anchormans, BH & MO fave batsmen to save the day......or have I spoken too soon...

So looks like whoever makes a quickfire 50 in the BBL will win a spot in the Boxing Day test....Finch will need replacing and Handscomb should never don a baggy green again.....worked on his technique....should be dropped for telling the coach porkies....as for Marsh....fark me for the most experienced batsmen this country has got he still lacks the insight about playing test match cricket......game on it seems.....hopefully the Aussie bowlers can bowl just like the Indian steamers have this arvo

Freeze I will reiterate this is the worst Australian batting line up I have seen but the Indian quickies are bowling well. As for Handscomb and his poor technique (Only George Bailey has worse currently or Andrew Hilditch going back) what the fark is Graeme Hick doing as the well paid batting coach?

True BH, this lot aren't the brightest either.....but no doubt JL will put that down to inexperience...not sure what Head was thinking.....think Ponsford batted in a time where the pitches were uncovered and greener then this, when the bats were smaller and probably played half his tests in the UK....imagine if Marsh had that luxury....can't even imagine what his test stats would read TBH.....saying that Ponsford had an average of 48 didn't he?.....don't think Marsh will get anywhere near that.....perception says Ponsford was a better bat than Marsh.....

What frustrates me about this line up is that they keep making the same mistakes every time. Head is a classic example. He fell for the same sucker shot in both innings. Unfortunate for FInch that it looks like he is out for a while as he was playing well. Marsh, Head and Handscomb have been guilty of poor technique and shot selection but you can't drop them all and there are no obvious replacements.
Aussies need 250 at least to feel safe although nothing is safe with Kohli in the opposition. It has been a wonderful 3 days of test cricket.
