Looks like both Perth clubs will be going hard in this trade period and both clubs are going to be competing for the services of Rory Lobb and Tim Kelly. Looks like Reece Conca wants to come to Fremantle which will go some way to covering the likely loss of Lachie Neale.

The biggest trade of all if it pans out will be Jessie Hogan to Fremantle. That will even surpass Tom Lynch to Richmond. I just hope Freo don't give up both first round picks to get him.

Not much use getting a good forward like hogan if the coach and most of the team are crap, what a waste!

Tend to agree with Grump, why come and play key forward for a side that plays all its players behind the ball. Even if he plays permanently forward their best kicked (Lochie Neil) wont be there to kick him the ball.

Melbourne is on the verge or something special and Freo will continue to be shit for a few years

BC I think it was Terry Wallace who suggested Fremantle might trade one of those early picks for two late first rounders and package one of them with say pick 5 for Hogan, then they still keep a later first round pick which Terry Wallace said should be used in the draft because this was a strong draft. He suggested Fremantle could trade next year's first round pick for Rory Lobb.

You could be right tuggers although a more likely scenario is Ballantyne gets a game ahead of Hogan and he plays for Peel.

And if I was conca I would be staying the hell away from Freo. He is just the type and a perfect candidate to have a potentially long AFL career cut short by Freo.

With some other trades to be worked out before this happens but would Melbourne be willing to accept picks 11 and 19 for Hogan?
