be careful gtr...you'll have anchorman who has become a self-appointed topic policeman on here telling you to take it somewhere else. B)

BC the allegations that have yet to be proven. Are very much a political issue. And this has now become the thread for all things political.
Swan42 is holding his own up against 4 or 5 posters.

mate...I don't particularly care who posts what on where as I'm not that pedantic unlike some others on here. I've been taken to task by a/man a couple of times in the last few weeks for apparently going off topic..so mine was just a tongue-in-cheek warning to you.

BC do you expect Morrison to win the 2019 Federal election?

Swannie you are obsessed with polls and state election results. What did who was in government have to do with the last WA election result? Absolutely Jack shit. Anyone who votes against a party at a state election because of what the national party is doing, is a complete moron.

And as is normal the media are as immature and unbalanced as usual because media is all about making big wow moment headlines. The big danger is Labor are not being questioned and held to account over their alternate policies and their ability to run an economy. The media would love to see a blood bath at the polls because they can't wait to type those letters into headline.

The danger is Labor waltzes into government with a swollen head throwing the word MANDATE around like confetti and around we go again. Despite the internal chaos that has played out within the Liberal party at least they are doing a good job of running the economy. That can't be said about Labor last time they were in power.

DD did Australia go into recession during the GFC? Did the current coalition government double the debt? It is self-evident that the current is completely dysfunctional when they had to wag parliament by closing down the House of Reps for a day.

It is very unlikely that Labor will win control of the Senate in next year's election.

I think by consensus this topic has become the default political topic. Personally, I don't have a problem with that.

GTRX the charge is actually attempting to pervert justice and making a false document. Serious but not a terrorist charge. He allegedly tried to set up another person to look like he had terrorist plots. The innocent man was in police custody for three weeks because of this set up. Allegedly the dispute between the two was over a woman.

Your party blew a large surplus by giving out cash handouts because it was scared of the word recession. Recession is only a word so what if an economy has a little period of negative growth that is only natural. Your mob got the ball rolling and ground the economy to a halt. Our defence forces were crumbling and refugees were coming here in droves because your idiot mob undid all the good work John Howard did to stop the people smuggling business.

Unfortunately you have to go into more debt to get the rusted on wheels turning again. As a result of investment in our defense forces thousands of jobs have been created which has probably saved SA which lost many car manufacturing plants. Henderson is bursting at the seams with ship building and Austal is an Australian company to be proud of.

What are your mob of career public servants, unionists and civil rights activists going to do run a successful economy and deliver surpluses?

The Liberal Party has not a leg to stand on with respect to "stopping the boats". Did Messrs Abbott, Morrison et al vote against the "Malaysian solution". The answer is yes they voted against it. It was never about saving lives at sea: it was about playing base, racist politics.

With respect to your comment about "a little period growth" it sounds as though you are channeling your inner Keating "the recession we had to have".

The unanswered question is who will lead the Liberal Party to the 2019 Federal election?

Why is that unanswered? Who is even asking or is it just a mischievous question? Scott Morrison is preferred PM by about 10%.

Anyway please tell us you are going into the 2019 election with more than pink batteries cash hand out, increase emissions target to 45% and taxing self funded retirees who are already paying tax?

And lastly you keep crowing about the Victorian election result. What about the SA election result? First Liberal party elected in SA in 16 years. We just sweep that one under the carpet do we? Or do we react to a few losers who want to blame somebody else for their defeat in Victoria?
