Strijk is a freak & almost unstoppable one on one, poor kicking cost him dearly & the team plus horrible turn overs from some senior players in the middle which resulted in SD goals. Well done to the black ducks who stood firm & wore WP down. Think SF will beat swans however if WP had won WP would not get near SF.

Well done to Swans. You blokes beat us in the air time and time again. Football is football and kicking a bunch of points doesn't help but that's how the ball bounces sometimes. Anyway you blokes will take on Souths next week, they are a bloody good running side, its going to be tough and anything can happen in finals.

Just a pity our 2 great clubs never get the opportunity to play in a GF Winger would be a massive crowd and just what the WAFL needs badly!

What a super game at Steel Blue.

Hero for the day is Greg Harding. He has copped a lot of criticism over his time but this was truly his best coaching performance. It was full of courage. Backing in Crowley and Clutterbuck who's form hasn't be consistently great. The other courageous move was the decision to back in a young backline. Taylor on Keitel who single handedly beat swans last time. Watson part of this back 6 too. Part of this was to take Ames out of FB abd play him 2nd Ruck / Forward. Ames wasn't super in the ruck but his last 10 mins taking some lead up marks and hand off to runners almost changed the game.

When WP kept coming Harding didn't panic and it came off. So much space once Swans won the ball and ran forward. The other key ingredient was the players delivering. You could aw how engaged they were at the huddle.

Riggio was again super and Carey did his thing and popped uo to finish well when needed.

Saturday was probably the second best game I've seen at Bassendean only with the 2010 prelim vs EP with 12,00 bettering it.

Was a cracking Ressies game Grassy you blokes were a bit stiff in the end hitting the post when running into an open goal but a desperate lunge from a Swans defender just put him off his kick a touch.
