Whilst the body is quite cold yet I thought I would like to see the thoughts on who will be our new coach. Perhaps posters can give who:

(i) they would like to be our new coach;
(ii) they think will be our new coach; and
(iii) a smokey

A prominent recent ex player told me last night that if the club goes down the road of Malaxos or Armstrong then they are in trouble. He liked BH's suggestion of Woewodin, but as our closet SD member Freeze pointed out $$$ in the colts jobs could be a factor steering candidates away from the SD snr job. This ex players suggestion was Brian Dawson again but I think someone younger needs to be targetted between 35-40 to be able to relate to todays young men

I would like Dawson but I think his academic work at UWA would be an issue for him. He often travels overseas for conferences.
I have reservations about Malaxos, I think he is a better Assistant.
Ellis and Crowley need more experience.
As DW said Cooper could be a smokey.
Woewodin has previous WAFL experience. Doesn't Quentin Lynch coach at Ammo level as well?
I suppose Percy would be too old....:P

Maybe we should target Cam Sheperd...his ability to develop the local talent in the Peel region would have to show him as the best candidate in the entire history of the world and probably on Mars too!!!

On a serious level I always thought the club may of had intentions to replace Harding with Malaxos when he first entered the fold....might just ring true now...I stand by my comment on the other thread, I believe Coops is the right man for the job. If it's only a part time job offer in future as I suspect it might be from 2018 forwards it will require someone who loves the club or who has serious ambition to give themselves fully to the role...Coops fits the bill on both these accounts and won't necessarily be working a full time job on the side either;)

I read that article and thought this guy is a an absolute deadset farkwit - every football person knows he couldn't coach shit to flush , which was evidenced by that real performance against WP in that final a couple of years back

My vote would be for Pickers, whilst Adam has not had league experience he has coached at ressies and done a great job with our colts.

Crowley Pickering Valentine all solid options for me
