Going into tomorrows game we are rightly considered favorites given the season we have had so far, if we win we are confirmed as flag favorites, if we lose then Peelmantle are firmly in the frame as clear flag favorites.

I think we are better equipped to handle Peelmantles game plan than Souths who are a highly skilled running team who relish the open spaces and destroy teams that give them that space, whereas Subi are a very good contested footy team, in and under players like Kitchen, Cocky, Horsely, Adamson, Walters and Hoskins should be able to match the AFL mids that Peel have. The difference will be with all their talls, guys like Darcy and Griffin are monsters and good players to boot particularly at WAFL level, add in Taberner and Cox and that's a group of very big bodies we will struggle to match up on. Our backline is the best in the WAFL comp, very disciplined and cover well for each other but not overly tall, if we can continually bring the ball to the ground we give ourselves a chance. Unlike the Royal Eagles, Peelmantle don't put the cue in the rack when the going gets tough, so even if we get a break on them, expect them to come at us hard. While the way Peelmantle have created their team is not really in the spirit of the comp, from a purely footy pov, it should be a ripper of a game.

SS interesting last sentence of yours mate.... ironic that... "creating a team not in the spirit of the comp"....interesting to see both sides have a number of influential outsiders across each line....totally agree mate should be a cracking game tho......two of the most "creative" teams of the comp one would say...... going head to head.....SF TBH is probably the best true team of the comp....pity they didn't deliver last weekend.

the difference is freez is that we are limited by points whereas the freo chunder aren't. and I take exception to your comment that SF is probably the best true team of the comp. that's patent rubbish as Subi is restricted to a points limit and salary cap like the other 6 non-aligned teams and we finished 3 games clear of SF.

Subi created many a team over the last decade through means which other teams in the comp werent privy too....like Subi are now not privy to Peels obvious extra riches......shoe is on the other foot....thought u guys would be up for the challenge TBH......Subi will be fine.....you will win by 30 pts v that Peel team full of AFL has beens, AFL youngsters and a few semi professionals .....game on

Stevo's form hasn't been great but thought he was much better against WART. A couple of big selection gambles bringing in Clang and Horse after long lay offs. Horse was a certainty but maybe Clang could have used a run in the 2's this week.

BC, could be a straight swap Clang for Stevo at full forward with Clang doing the ruckwork inside the 50?

well what do you know? We have had more free kicks in the first quarter than we had in the entirety of the grand final last year. That was a bloody disgrace.
