You do remember the eagles were the mob that had so much respect for the wafl they pushed to takeover a club. It ended last year, how bad is your memory? This week they want their own team in the wafl. Let's say next week they don't, they'd like to takeover another club instead. All I'm saying is beware.

Yes I am an Eagles supporter.....so what??? That is not a crime.
But, I am first and foremost a Perth member and supporter of more than 60 years and I fully support what PFC has done in it's involvement with the Lathlain Park Precinct development.
It is exciting times for the club and the dividends are already coming in. Early days but we are on our way.
You purport to be a Perth supporter Why don't you get with the programme instead of knocking it?
It is the best thing PFC has done in a long time.

AR, with respect I think that you mean wary. In any event, PFC has always been wary that its sovereignty is protected and would not enter into any enterprise that would threaten that.
PFC is an incorporated body and by constitution cannot yield the name without the members' consent.

I am not a knocker but I state this as plainly as I can - I do not trust the eagles or the WAFC. You have to be very wary when dealing with them. To the extent that any of this good news is through dealings with/our association with the eagles be careful is all because they do not care about the WAFL or PFC.
And I know a lot of people follow two teams Smoke but I don't really get it and on this one it means you are conflicted.

You are right STT. The WAFC can pull any WAFL club license at will or force a club to merge or align. They are "all powerful". The landscape of the WAFL has changed dramatically and the future of the comp is clouded. No-one can predict the future but the AFL have already taken over the Colts and the Ressies may be next, and then...…?? It is possible that the WAFL clubs will end up as "Amateur" clubs in a third tier competition behind the AFL and AFL Ressies.
This is the 21st century that is already bringing more rapid change globally than we saw in the 20th century and that includes AFL football generally.. We cannot influence what is beyond our control.

No, I am not conflicted and I will oppose any attempt to damage or destroy the Perth Football Club. And that includes any involvement by WCE. As part of the new Mineral Resources Precinct partnership the WCE have committed their full support to the future of PFC and until that changes I am fully behind what has evolved at Lathlain Park.

Ok happy to leave it there Smoke, can't have two PFC supporters having too much of a crack at each other, there's not that many of us left!!

For me this rings true "WCE have committed their full support to the future of PFC" at this point in time they are committed.
Our relationship is strong and the PFC has a bright future.
I fear that some of this doomsday stuff is misguided and misinformed.
