I couldn't get there today but will be at Lathlain next week to have a look.

Next week will be a big test against South Fremantle. This game will give us a good indication of what to expect in 2018.

Not sure this scratch match will give us a good indication as to what to expect in 2018,it certainly could highlight areas of strength and weaknesses against a potential top 3 team.

The real indication will be the first month of footy playing for 4 points.

Swans at home,against a team many tip to be bottom 3 material(like us)
Ditto East Freo away,a ground we just dont perform well at.
Peel away,does it get any tougher these days?
And East Perth at home,probably a very winnable game.

Imo we would want to be at the very least 2 and 2 in this period.

Yep 30+. Anything less than 2 and 2 and basically "season over".

With Subi, SF, Claremont and WP to follow it would be a long way home from there.

I haven't heard any news about the two Trinity Aquinas boys recruited by Perth.

Do you think Luke Salamone & Redmond Dobson will take the next step and get the nod to wear the Red & Black in your League side for round one?

From what I have heard both have been impressing on the track. I attend the second intra club a couple of weeks ago and Salomone was playing forward. Seemed like a lively type and had a few set shots at goal. He stood out more for me and might be a chance of playing in round one.

I didn't get to attend the Claremont game so not exactly sure who played league and who played reserves.

I'll try and get down on Saturday for our game against South Fremantle. I'd say that the teams selected for this game will be pretty close to the side that will line up in round one.

They both played league against Claremont.
Salamone in a forward pocket and was quiet. Dobson did some good things in defence.

Cesspit did you go? Can you give us anymore information on the game. Anyone miss? Who stood out?

Yes AFL, Giblett was good at full back. Giobbi looks promising. Chester played well, as did Jones and Yeo. There was plenty of aggression and hardness with players like Leggatt and Giobbi.
Garstone and Eyres did some good things.

Sinclair, Collard and Colledge all played reserves. White didn't play at all, hopefully he's not injured again already.

Good to hear that Garstone is on track for a good season. It had been rumoured that he might miss a bit of the season.
White seems to be a problem IMO. I just wonder how bad all his injuries really are. Is he unable or unwilling to play with an injury. Perhaps he should take a lesson from Sinclair who seems to play with an injury all the time.
Maybe he is just soft.
