Thought of Big Bob Johnson Whale Roberts, Big Ron and others, but they all played VFL before coming to EF.......Apologies to a lot of the pre 60s players as I know little of their playing feats.- Thornley, Dearle, Les Kelly et al ..had to put in Lin Richards as read a lot of great things about the fella and he was in EF team of the century when picked in 1997....first ever EF player to win a Sandover too and Jack Sheedy for being simply Jack Sheedy

Clinton Browning another one Freeze, I think Jack Sheedy played for South Melbourne whilst stationed in Vic during WWII as well.

Yep edited in Jack mate....cheers for that....played 9 games for the Bloods...yeah Browning and all those on the bench had pretty short careers....very good WAFL boys though.

Steve McCann would have been on the list Freeze if those grubby VFL NM recruiting blokes hadn’t snatched him straight from school up in Geraldton much like Brian BT Taylor from Mandurah.
I think they may have tried the same with big Graeme Carter with less success and ditto Ramsay Bogunovich from us.

Think Carter went over to NM at some point Bease....but didn't last long.....Think 79 was his pinnacle mate....as for Steve McCann, yeah plucked from junior footy way before it has become the norm now sadly.....but then again with Dougie Green in that 70s EF side, the kid was always going to be behind the great man for playing at CHB....tho would of been a more than serviceable FB for EF ....LOL

Carter and McCann both went as a package to The Roos. We now know that Mc made it, but Carter didn’t . Don’t think he was dedicated to the North’s regime.

No probs Ark....just don't expect any other pre 90s teams from other clubs....Will leave that to you and BH....both of you fellas have an amazing memory to drag out names from yesteryear....great to reminisce too
