the Eagles team will control the fixtures to align with their AFL team..

WC are at this stage going to be scheduled for away games however, have said they are looking at buying home games off clubs and playing them at Lathlain..

Heard Hagdorn saying this morning going to be lighting installed at Lathlain good for TV night games and he said the Eagles might buy home games to be played at Lathlain and they are talking to Fremantle (Peel) about playing reserves derby as curtain raisers to the main game.

No sense at all in byes.
Ridicules idea.
Just adjust the season, start a week or 2 later finish a week or 2 earlier who gives a shit.

That would be ideal if they played WCE reserves v Freo Reserves at Curtin raisers, just leave everyone else out of it, unless they give wafl members free entry and a seat at WAFL prices.

Surely they can work it out so there is just general byes rather than teams not playing here there and every where.

In fact a earlier start and finish is what I have always suggested for WAFL anyway to get some oxygen away from the AFL...

DF intriguing comment given you pilloried me for being critical of the direction the WAFL is heading. There were many posts from a number of posters that it needed to be a 10 team competition to get rid of the byes. Well from all reports it has not got rid of the byes at all.

In the process to pressure the clubs into accepting a stand alone team for the Eagles in the WAFL it was stated that that team would play all its games at the venue of WAFL club they are playing. Now there are suggestions that the Eagles want to play at Lathlain Park Oval and possibly curtain raisers as well.

As MO has put it: what the Eagles want they will get in terms of fixturing.

Not sure I always agree with the direction of the WAFC.
But I will leave the negativity to you.

Why were you complaining about the byes then?
