Now that the dust has settled, the administrators have done their business, creditors have been sorted albeit unsatisfactorily, debts have been cleared, the next question we as WAFL supporters and taxpayers should be asking is where did the $800k go and what action has been taken against those who perpetrated this embarrassing shambles? From what I can see the only losers in this are small businesses and the like who were forced to take 4 cents in the dollar with no punitive action whatsoever against the people responsible including the Chairman, the CEO and senior members of staff other than to be shown the door. That is not good enough....what's next WAFC or are you going to let it just fade away and hope time takes its course? When are we going to find out where the $ went, why it happened and what is going to be done against those who took the club down this path. If nothing else some accounting standards must have been crossed or broken and if the person performing those tasks at the club is a CPA or CA then the relevant professional body should be notified. What's next Gavin Taylor?

Brilliant post BC - probably the only way we will hear more is if the Clubs push for something to happen Or maybe The West. It is amazing to me that nothing formal has been announced by WAFC. I cannot imagine a professional comp in the world of any credibility that would just 'let it fade away and hope time takes its course'. Not good enough as you say.

Nothing stopping us writing letters to WAFC asking these questions of course.

Surely there has to be a consequence for this farcical situation (where the WAFC are paying the WP players and staff wages alone) this season through sanctions placed on the club in 2019/20....seeing as they cant pay any fine placed on them it should have to work with a reduced salary cap, reduced player points cap, no recruiting outside their zone, selling off of players, loss of Premiership points in 2019 etc?

Perhaps one of the WP faithful can enlighten us on what the members have been told. I recall Falcon said some time ago that all would be revealed when the administrators had finished so surely some transparency from the WAFC is on the cards given the bad look this whole thing has given the WAFL....but then again, we are talking about the WAFC so who knows.

Get over it you blokes, nothing is gonna happen, with economic conditions and the interest in the WAFL being at an all time low, other clubs are going to fall over just wait and see.

I'm with you StT….this has to be taken through to the end for the credibility of the WPFC, WAFC and the WAFL in general.
