With Subi's turnover this year, sounds like gross mismanagement.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

yes..agreed. The annual report listed something like 85 people involved in non-playing activities across all grades including coaches, medicos, trainers, timekeepers, stats guys and so on. Admittedly a lot of those are volunteers but when you got 5 Dr's on your books, 6 S & C personnel, a myriad of trainers and so on...somethings got to give.

Just took a peek at your annual report

Nathan Oconnor report has you at 3.8 Mil in Assets with 3 Mill in Cash, that's better than I thought.
Interesting he highlighted this year was the last of the Subi Oval Arrangemnt and that last year that side of it had dropped some 35% in corporate revenues , next year its wiped out totally.

Looks like your putting together a Subi Futuire Fund Trust Board to survive going forward.

That's a massive net egg to work on. 3.8 Mil , but lets be honest with the future of the WAFL looking how it is , the days of members and sponsors keeping the club going are gone.

Also I see you might be bailing on what's left of the old Subi Footy Club early. Although not certain. Might as well, nothing else will be happening there , why pay power and stuff on the dead asset.

Yes mate...despite what a lot of people on here are saying about the seats deal, we've only been breaking even or making a small profit in recent years due to the economic downturn across the state and increased competition from Freo and WCE as they've struggled to sell their game day packages as well for the same reasons. Admittedly it was a terrific earner during the mining boom and when both AFL sides were travelling well but it's certainly been a lot tougher to make decent coin for the last few years. Subi is very lucky to have long term sponsor QBE stumping up for the last 32 years. I'm not sure how much the deal is worth but they've been very loyal to the club through good times and bad.

Yep, as posted on another thread , looks like AHG have walked on WAFL.

Makes you wonder how much long the last remaining big names will hang in there

I realise this comment a bit off topic.
That is correct Bazza. The only major sponsor/ s currently visible is the fast food joint and a gambling company.
Not sure if any minor sponsors are going to step up?

My thoughts exactly PN, $ubi's consistent push for rule changes has payed off, now if they could only here our pleas against the salary cheats it would be a genuine even competition.

BC, someone would have dropped that $148K (in a brown paper bag) behind one of the office cabinets by mistake you have that much money. You may want to phone the club and ask them to look a bit harder :)

Yes Southside Mitsubishi no longer sponsoring the DEES.
Sponsorship previously saved for us by Bronte.
However already replaced by PFC.
