It reeks the same as when Damien Martyn was appointed back in the 90s!

I think Turner is a better captain and he should lead the Warriors and Scorchers.

Mitch Marsh should of caught Fergason.First ball of the last over.He should of been hard on the boundry.Shaun Marsh has fixed our batting. But this season of BBL has been dominated by Leg Spinners. We just recruited a dud.Good bowler Quadir jnr just not a t20 bowler.

Not one Yorker bowled yet so far just simply moronic bowling.

Scorchers had one of their best bowling attacks yet got blown away by bad bowling.
Credit to Marsh after being dropped by Gilkes before scoring BUT Gilkes later made his 50 on debut. Never heard of him before. Obviously too many playing just for the money.

Looking at the game in the light of day and on reflection

1. The absence of Agar is making so much difference. I think he would have slowed down the momentum last night and made it harder for Ferguson to get the ball away.
2. Kelly bowled really well amongst the carnage and nearly got the Scorchers back into it.
3. In general the bowlers seem scared to bowl full and try for Yorkers due to the short straight boundaries. The result is that they bowl too short which is money for jam for guys like Faulkner and Ferguson
4. Usman Qadir should forget about 20/20 cricket and focus on red ball stuff

mikeh it wouldn't of mattered what spinner played last night Ferguson was just in the zone & his performance was outstanding.. Agar has been average this year along with a lot of his team mates, there was no leadership at all last night NCN & Tye bowled rubbish all night. If you cant defend 180+ at home you don't deserve to play in finals..

Agar would have bowled more tightly than Qadir. Pace off the ball and speared in towards the batsman. Seen him slow things down like that a few times. They had 182 on the board, all they needed was a few overs of 5 or 6 like Green and Ahmed were able to conjure and it would have been a different ball game. Instead they were going for 10 - 15 every over. Maybe they thought the job was done when they dismissed Watson.

Mark Waugh is in trouble again with his commentary..Last night commentating the Melb Start v Brisbane Heat.Mark was talking about Brendan McCullums hobbies outside of cricket.
Mark said -Brendon loves his Horses.Loves his punting. And is one Lucky c••• when it comes to punting.Fox +Channel 7 used different commentators previously in the BBL.But marks comments where live on a 7mate and Foxtel 501.
MWaugh has previously dropped the C word during commentary in the UAE a few months back.

Another quality performance in the field by the 18/19 Scorchers...after only 15 overs there have been 5 dropped catches and a pretty simple missed stumping....
