Royal2019 - Howlett has left EP, i would think you have better things to do than come here to bag him for his performances at Swans.

Yeah fair point MO.
But you do have to wonder about some of our fitness, strength and conditioning work as take Rudy for an example he was never really fit at SD but at WP he is now trimmed down and looks like a footballer in body shape and muscle mass, I dare say his running capacities are a helluva lot better as well.

no doubt it can be questioned but if the bloke that didnt get a game in a colts GF in 2014 has now played more league games than any of those blokes that played its not a question of talent is it ?
its hard work on the track and the gym to turn himself into a very good league footballer who bleeds black and white.

And that is why Jesse is a favourite with the Swans fans because he has used that disappointment to work his ass off and become a League footballer when most of those that played that day had more ability at that age, but as we know ability only gets you so far without work ethic and Jesse has it and many of those others didnt although in fairness to JD 2 knee reco's didnt help his cause.
interestingly from that years (2014) Colts squad I think only Turner, W.Wilson, C.Daniels, Glass-McCasker, Cipro, Dean, Hackett, Maguire & D.Smith are still at the club.

That is almost half a team BH, not that bad a retention percentage mate....I look at that 2017 EF colts flag team BH....can think of only 10 kids still at the club......and that's only 2 years ago.....sums up WAFL footy in a nutshell.....all a bit too much effort for little reward it seems...though EF have been a basket case, so perhaps kids have moved on due to the club environment/dynamics.....though of those gone, none have gone to other WAFL clubs....

Freeze I specifically mentioned Colts squad from that season as only W.Wilson, C.Daniels, D.Smith, Dean & Maguire played in the GF the others boys played the odd game as underagers around school commitments etc.
So essentially 9 left from a Colts squad of around 50 or 60 players.
But yes I guess when you look back on all teams Colts successes it doesnt always transition to League success or indeed even Reserves footy games.

The lack of run and movement through the midfield+fwd line.Has been a problem all year. But also noticed in defence in the second half. How many point kickoffs did Tony Note belt the ball 60 metres+.To a contest on the wing. With no short pass options available to Tony.

I would prefer Tony as a target from the kick ins rather than being the kicker inerrer GTR!

Continual long bombing from the kick in is a concern gtr and suggests to me a lack of structure coming from the coaching panel as most teams have set plays consisting of long and short options. You don't always hit the preferred target but everyone knows where they need to position themselves at kick ins.
