Listened to the game on the radio. Very nervous last 5 minutes. Souths had 3-4 chances on goal but couldn't convert. 2 wins to start the season. You little beauty.

We got away with that.
SD becomes a very important game..
Regardless of being at Bassendean it is a must win or a chance goes begging.
Well done Dees you absorbed the pressure and some how got away with it.

Well played Demons I thought after an excellent 3rd quarter you probably deserved those four points - it was as I thought a very good game of footy where either side could have taken the points.

Yep it was a good game. Souths butchered some shots near the end which could have won the game for them.
Perth, perhaps could have put the game away in third quarter but did not take all their chances.
Good to be 2-0 and in a good position to take on Swans next week and maintain the momentum.

DF, Higgins got on top at hitouts but Eyres and Langdon competed well and enabled us to win our share of clearances at stoppages.
Souths are a taller and faster side but our fierce tackling and pressure kept us in the game. Mickey Bennell 3 sensational goals from outside 50 metres.

Relieved to get the win, but a few things to work on. We got opened up repeatedly in the last quarter. We have to find a way to slow the game down at times, otherwise we are prone to getting overrun. Colledge, Yeo, Taylor outstanding. Eyres, Smith and Garstone very poor. Doesn't seem as though anyone in the reserves really put their hand up except maybe Horan.
