First task find a real CEO. By that I mean someone with real business acumen and a corporate background who can lift the profile of this club and attract partners who want to be part of the club. Marty lacks that sort of background in my opinion.

I believe Bob is perfectly placed to do this.
I also believe that is one of his priorities given the irregularities in bar trade found by his group.
Among the group are a number of very qualified people.
I am sure he would be able to headhunt the right person.

What irregularities in bar trade DF?

The gross profit over the bar should be 60-70% depending on specials.. If it isn't either
1. The stock is being plundered or
2. Drinks are being given away gratis
3.Not all the cash has made it into the till - cash payments to someone perhaps

Not sure of specifics Mr AFL.
But Graham Edwards asked some very searching questions at the AGM in December which seemed to baffle the previous hierarchy.
And essentially remained unanswered.
Graham Edwards, Bob Shields, Ian Rothney, Ray Lawrence, Colin Lofts have all had extensive and successful involvements in the Hotel trade..

I don't know all the specifics DF but my understanding of the queries raised by a fired up Graham Edwards concerned perceived inadequacies in procedures and reporting of match day receipts and general bar operations which had been raised with the Board but for which no satisfactory responses had been provided to date.
There was no suggestion of any alleged foul play but the issues raised were considered to be of a serious nature with relation to the proper running of the bars and a potential negative impact on revenue from bar operations generally.
It seemed to me that it was reasonable to have these concerns raised.

As a venue there needs to be action taken to ensure continued growth in the hospitality area.
There could well be some time spent on investigating social membership within the local community.
Also maximising potential bar income from our location and ground sharing with the Eagles.
Particularly if the Eagles were to play any practice matches at Lathlain.
I believe that we are now well placed to maximise opportunities from our location.
Reviews of bar hours and the means to extend them are essential.
Also a review of potential for food offerings and the way in which that is done.
This includes the food for our match day Lunches.
It's a pity the old commercial kitchen is no longer.
All this planning will be essential for the planning of the new premises.
There may be very good reason to ensure that a commercial kitchen is included in the plans.
We are now well placed to develop new opportunities.
For instance where is the nearest Tavern in the area.

You’ve got the Carlisle Hotel round the corner, the Empire bar on the corner of Cornwall St and Great Eastern Hwy and then you have the Albany Hwy strip where there are plenty of bars and eateries.

All of those a fair way away.
Room for some functions/dining.

Can someone tell me what Kerrie-Ann Pendal's credentials are apart from being an ex presidents daughter and office manager? Seems to me to be a lot of the old guard voting one of their own in.
