I am surprised Giobbi is gone. I was under the impression he was happy at the club. Frees up another 10 points.

I think we have to be a bit patient here yet until more news comes out. Are we trying to free up points?
I doubt that we will get much news until all the trades and drafts are completed although I would like some news on Johnson and Tunbridge.

To be fair, I think Tunbridge and Johnson are KPP. I’m not apart of recruiting team but I’d say we are talking to rucks, too. We did talk to Clarke last year but couldn’t beat Subiaco. Recruiting is not rocket science. But I think we should be in conversation with every good player that’s available no matter where they play. My read over the last 5 years is that there is good players in all sorts of situations. Partly luck. Look at Bennell. If I could give advice about recruiting I’d say stay away from the victorians unless they are absolute guns. One good thing the afl has done is that they’ve raised the profile of the state leagues (after 30 odd years of shameful neglect - how many wasted talents). I reckon I could name an AFL side of WAFL players over the last 18 years who could have made it with the right encouragement. Instead AFL recruiters were watching the u/15s. Woeful AFL.

Ex Perth player Mark Deaves is apparently a punter for ULM over in the states. Just thought that was an interesting bit of information.

Should have played more league games. He wasn't given many chances.

I hope that our FD are onto a delisted AFL player who could readily fit into our forward line and solve a big problem.
