I can understand the football community sympathising with WP but fair dinkum the 3 maggots still need to umpire the game correctly. WP played with a lot of spirit but they sure got a good run with the umps. Not sure what the free kick count was but after Black they were the next 3 biggest influences on the result.

No the umps just like west perth period.Very rarely do they lose the free kick count.Out of the 15 games this year they have won the free kick count 12-3. they have received 311 free kicks and only 222 against.which means they have positive 89 kicks.the three teams that do worst aginst west perth are peel,east perth and subi.i think a few years ago it was the same with west perth the most for and the two alignment teams and subi the bottom three.amazingly the team that has beaten west perth in the free kick count twice is swan districts a side that is always hard done by the umps.They have beaten west perth 21-20 and 17-15.

spot on chaddy. I did a free kick count last year and WP were far and away the best looked after by the umps with Peel, Subi and EP the worst. I didn't hang onto the numbers but think I posted on here at the time so if I could be bothered I'd trawl through and find them but really it's not going to make any difference whatsoever.

currently east perth are 263 for and 303 against..The game against east fremantle we actually had 10 more freekicks but we also have had 3 games with the opposition having 10 more free kicks then us.It seems strange how it all works out.

In discussions re umpiring, the free kick count is the only stat and it only tells half the story at best. A count of frees that aren’t paid that should have been would really show up the inconsistency.
