Just listened to both podcasts and I liked the overall balance of comments made by both and the realistic assessment of where we at..

Listened to the both interviews and was impressed, especially with Bill. Proven WAFL coach who seems to be one who wont put up with any shit. Has already looked at our down sides on field and knows what is needed.
Doddy mentioned they're also looking at support coaches. Lets start by getting McGough back to Shark Park.

Gonna be an interesting period seeing how Bill challenges EF playing group on and off the park over the coming weeks.....a few ego's will be challenged that is for sure

Reality checks will be good and to be fair, if it means losing some of our top end talent then show them the door!
Either buy in or opt out IMO.....

Look at a club like Subi or South or even WP- Have a great CLUB culture. Not sure we are anywhere near that at Easts. Almost seems like "the inmates run the Asylum".

It appears an inability to manage things actually may have worked to the advantage of the club. Monaghan is as good a get as what I was hoping and Brad Dodd has hopefully continued his development and experience at other clubs.

Listening to his interview (thanks to those that pointed me to it), seems to me he’s coming into the organisation with with a friendship feather in his hand, but there’s a definite undertone in what he was saying. That’s one of the assets of a good manager. Liked what I heard, but a few egos may get bruised.

Would like to think Monaghans appt is probably one of the best appts coaching wise EF has had since Judge and Micale.....and Malaxos too.... considering Stavros coached EF in 2 GF and a prelim at the senior level...plus a colts flag, Stavros was pretty good for EF....only poor kicking for goal denied him another flag or two to his EF coaching CV.

Early days I know, but one can only hope 10 years of senior coaching with sustained success has provided Monaghan with the necessary skills to rectify EF current dynamics....best outcome as you say Ooooolll considering the earlier embarrassment with Valentine.....but out of the two, I know who most EF fans would want coaching EF.....so win win all round for both EF and WP.....

As for George.....perhaps one of the 4-5 guys Monaghan mentions as possible departures....who knows but seems to think not all will go.....what will be will be.....sounds like a few comings n goings over the off season no doubt.....esp with WCE looking for bodies no doubt to supplement their WAFL team next year.
