From what I seen, this has nothing to do with Byes in the Wafl.
Having this 10th team being admitted could eliminate Byes. However it depends on the length of the season.
In the end, big business will bulldoze their way around and do whatever they damn well please!
Whichever way it gets looked at, the SANFL model will be adopted here.
