You could make an argument for getting 5 friends to one game. But getting the there each week is the hard thing. Simple thing is people have more on in their lives than just football nowadays.

This 5 friends to the footy line has been bandied around for decades now and is quite frankly crap, if people arent interested they wont go , like you say doing a ring around begging people to go at 10am Saturday morning every week is a joke. It might happen once a year at a feature game like foundation day but every week is delusional.

The reality is that our once great clubs are simply amateur feeder clubs now, the clubs themselves have accepted it as they have all continually taken money from the WAFC for their votes on certain issues instead of fighting for their comp.
the clubs have all been purchased for the good of the AFL.
It is just a very small minority who have not accepted it and still think it can change back to what it once was.
It is very sad seeing my once great club as they are now but it is what it is and it will not change or get better no matter how much we complain about it.

That is crap, the Victoria Stand has been in that spot for 110 years , it didnt stop 20,000 rocking up in the past , if you think moving it would bring thousands flooding back your bonkers, as for the bar, a full club bar with tab facilities is a hell of a lot better than what is served up at most grounds like Latho in that shit heap pig pen.

Thats the sad fact , its just the diehards with memories of the 70s and 80s left that are left now.

Granted I know a few Souths guys I had no trouble getting in anywhere and enjoyed the day, except the result.

Promotion was piss weak! Several of my family members and friends,while not die hard Wafl followers,are interested in Wafl footy and didn't even know the season started yesterday. There should've been ads and interviews on every radio station in Perth,a free family pass with the fixtures in the paper DNS promotion from Ch7 every night on the news. It's so disappointing!

For some reason West Perth fans have not gone in any numbers to Freo oval for many many years.

Spot on Mad Dog, I posted Friday about the poor promo compared to last year, they should of had the free passes again , they got 5000 to EP v EF r 1 last year.
