Another one of those that we shouldn’t have won, but a handy pickup. Sure, Port had some big injuries during the game, but JK, NN, Gaff, McKenzie and Schofield were big outs. Plus Darling may well have been in the sheds as well. Yous takes yer chances!

Considering what was at stake for both clubs, top 2 for us and top 4 for them playing in front of a hostile Port crowd the win was fantastic.
We stayed with them in the first half when it could have easily been a 6 goal margin at half time after there 5 goal first term.
We kept at it and the saying of “it’s not over till the final siren” rung true Saturday arvo.

Hey Sharkie I see the Eagles fans were out and about on the weekend with the Booing of Carlyle on Friday night,Ablett on Saturday and we even booed Luke Shuey yesterday.

Granted the rest of them are significant outs but Mackenzie has hardly fired a shot all season so wouldn’t really say he is a big loss.

Good win by the Eagles.

You’re right, not a huge out, but it was another big backman unavailable.

An extraordinary win, 8 points down with a minute and a half left with the ball down Ports end. I see it was former eagle Brad Ebert with two big blunders in those frenetic last couple of minutes, first when he failed to get hands to Mcgoverns switch across half back which led to Le Cras goal, and then he was out marked by the Guv in the final moments.
