Workmanlike win for Freo, especially given the off field problems of the past week. St Kilda were pathetic in the first half, better in the 2nd half. Fyfe best on ground, I would be surprised if he was cited for either incident he was involved in, although you can never tell these days. Cerra is a ripper, so much poise. Sandi gave them an armchair ride as usual, this time the mids took advantage. Lots of upside for this team. They are on track to better the 8 wins of last year if they can continue their good form at home and pinch the odd one away. You have to keep in perspective though in that all the teams they have beaten so far are below them on the ladder so the likelihood is that they will be looking at a 10 - 12 position on the ladder with a real chance at the finals next year.
St Kilda must be wondering what has happened to them this year. They won 11 games last year and looked like they were going to push for finals in 2018 but they have just fallen away instead.They seem to have no confidence and it is reflected in their set shot kicking for goal.
