According to the West ( all approx.)

P v WCE 3800
SD v SF 2000
PT v WP 1300
S v EP 1200
C V EF 1200

So a total around 9,500 if these figures are to be believed. I think the WAFC release the official figures later in the week.

Apparently Leederville drew 1930 for the Subiaco match.
Over at Bassendean had a figure of 2191
West Perth's match was quoted at 1652
Not sure about Lathlain or Claremont Oval.

According to the WAFL website they were supposed to have had 1562 down at Centrelink Park...that sounds dodgy to me as I don't reckon the Chunder could muster that number in total for the year let alone for one game even with WP's decent supporter base.

Not too many comments about the game from WCE supporters.
Wonder whether they were happy with the performance and whether they will attend again this week.

I very much doubt that estimate for Lathlain. Very good crowd yes, grandstand packed and banks well populated but not packed. In my estimate more likely 2500 - 3000 tops. Happy to be proven wrong but not sure anyone bothers to keep a tally of people coming through the gates these days. There were 3 queues at Lathlain, 1 for cash, 1 for credit card and 1 for passes (I assume paid up members which includes gate entry to home games).

WAFL was the biggest winner this weekend. 100% larger crowd attracted based on a single factor.

Whilst I know all the diehard Wafl supporters will find a reason to complain.... I will remind u, facts don't care about your feelings.

WCE has had a positive affect week one 2019 on your gate takings. It may tank, but if most Wafl clubs could afford a marketing department they would exploit it.

wait 'til the end of the season, the crowds will drop off if they lose every week; bassed on the EP alignment teams, and the performance of eagles players at individual clubs over the years, they will not do any good in the competition. During the first alignment era, the eagles played alongside some good footballers at ep and prosperred accordingly, a luxury, which, this lot, i am afraid, will not have.
