I read this article saying that WA could be without 10 of their 1st picked for the upcoming game against SA. If so, we ain't seen ugly yet!!

Virtually no difference from last weeks game then 58 other than we could get Mitch Marsh back for this game as he didnt play vs NSW!

WA making a pretty good fist of it against SA. At tea, they only need another 68 runs to win outright with 7 wickets in hand but then again...it could all come crumbling down going on recent form.

Pleasing to see the Warriors bounce back from their performance against NSW last week. They are too far behind the 2nd placed team to make the final but hopefully they can finish the season off by winning their last 2 games to give them a bit of momentum into next year.

One thing they need to priorise is to sign up Josh Phillipe to a long term contract with the Warriors and Scorchers to keep those Blue Baggers at bay!

Interesting to see Short bat 7.....far too talented to be batting there.....WA needs to have him involved much sooner.....yeah his longer format form is no where near his short format form...can't see how Inglis is batting 3.....surely Phillippe or Short should be given some higher order exposure for WA shield prospects to prosper......surprised Hardie hasn't been given a game by now....can see a few of these boys moving on next year for more opportunities....

What sort of message does it send to our WA batsmen with Inglis batting at 3?
Dont get me wrong he is a very promising young keeper/batsman but he is not a number 3 batsman!

Spot on BH....don't doubt the boys ability to wield the willow...just not at 3....proven again today....surely one of Short or Phillippe should be given that gig?....Not sure of Voges thinking TBH...been pretty uninspiring as a coach appt so far....only early days...but another season like this and Voges might be shown the door.

Seems like good news week for Australian Cricket. James Pattinson has taken 5 - 25 today to bowl Victoria to a win in a shield game. I have always rated him as a bowler and if he can only just stay fit, he could be a bolter for the ashes tour. Spare a thought though for Conway of NSW who had match figures of 9 - 64 in a losing cause!

Pretty much carnage for the batsmen in the current shield round with only the game in Tasmania having a decent wicket obviously. Cam Bancroft has not done a lot since his century against NSW and will need a big score in the last game at the WACA to stay in the frame for the UK

Sounds like Aust has unearthed a plethora of Duke ball bowling specialists.....or Aust batsmen haven't got an ounce of a technique.....more the latter me thinks......but great to see Pattinson in the wickets.....if fit definitely one Aust needs over in the UK.....Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins, Richardson and Pattinson would be a fantastic attack....well at least on paper...….any chance a young untried smokey could be given a spot too?....Kelly perhaps from WA?

A big second session on the last day by Tassie batsmen Wade & McDermott has TAS in with a chance of winning outright now needing about 190 in the last session with 6 wickets still in hand.
