Fantastic to see the downtrodden Chevrons get a first away test win in 17 years and against Bangladesh in Bangladesh no less. Pity it wasn't on Foxtel. I saw a few domestic games in Harare last year when I was there for work and the ability of these guys to compete internationally with the diabolical condition of grounds they face at home is a testimony to their resliance and exuberance. They are a great team to watch play cricket in my view and good to see honest toilers like Jarvis and the young leggie get some wickets. Great for cricket too to see them fight back after the disappoint of failing to qualify for the World Cup on their home soil. Go Zim!

Might be the year for upset away wins possibly....

Yep, fair team that.

Paul Strang was a great leg spin bowler. Loved watching him play. Duncan Fletcher might sneak in somewhere.

A couple that could also sneak in, Alistair Campbell and one of my favourites, Eddo Brandes, the chicken farmer and World Cup hero although he didn't play much test cricket.

Stuart Carlisle
Brian Davison
Murray Goodwin

could have all gone in the side.

one black player whom I forgot and whom you could put in without weakening the side appreciably
would the keeper, Taibu.

Gary Ballance is also a Zimbabwean.

I remember watching Brian Davison bat for TAS in the Sheffield Shield at the WACA in the early 80s he was a fine batsman.
Was Ken McEwan who played a bit for WA in the late 70s/early 80s a Rhodesian or a South African?

BH yep, Davison used to smash us around in the Shield for sure: it was against good attacks too, as you know 'Bease', and, he had the added pressure of being in a weak side; it was nearly him out all out at times.

McEwan was a South African
The chap whom batted at three for South Africa in 1963-4 was a Rhodesian, I just can't think of his name. He passed away fairly recently, I think.
