One of Aust finest batting performances overseas from one of Aust worst batting lineups ever....hopefully will build some much needed confidence in the team.....have seen the best and worst of this batting line up in this match.....well done to those batsmen who contributed......Aust fans salute you.....

A=Yes we can...hold on for a draw that is thanks to a fine century by Khawaja and 60* by Paine with some help from Gary the Goat batting at 10.

Reckon Head played an important innings too BH....but hey I am biased when it comes to Travis I guess......but what a great effort by the guys you mention....real captains knock by Paine too

Yes well played earlier in the day and the previous day by your boy Freeze & also Fatty Finch but I was posting about the very last session after my initial post at the Tea break about whether we could possibly win or even hang on for a draw!
Although I still feel this is the least talented batting line up I have seen in my time they showed great fight to hang in there and bat out the last day and a half on the subcontinent where as we both know we have folded like a deck of cards all too many times over the last 40 years!

Totally agree BH....considering three of the top order didn't contribute in that 2nd innings for Aust, getting out of that game with a draw was huge.....really got to back it up though in the next test....rolling over in the 2nd test will just mean all that rear guard effort is wasted....time will tell.

Does Renshaw come in?....or does JL keep the faith?...considering Renshaw hasn't batted in ages...I suspect it will be the latter.

DD: there were originally two Pakistans -- West Pakistan and East Pakistan -- East pakistan broke away and formed Bangladesh. As 'gtr and t-m' have suggested, I am just having a bit of historical fun.

Do you think we would beat West and East Pakistan combined team today?
